Any non-EOL version of linux will have the driver with the stock kernel

Should most sfp+ adapters work in this unit? are there any known exceptions? we are hoping to put in 1xsfp+ direct attach cable and 1xsfp copper...

Arrived within estimate and product as described. For those interested, these seem to ship with SFP vendor locking disabled, so non-Intel SFP should work.
