    Perfect convenience food

British soldiers in the Boer War could march 36 hours before collapsing, after a meal of pemmican-- and it was found in the supplies of both the North Pole and South Pole explorations.  Having read those accounts, I knew I had to find this product.This modern version is not of the the same ingredients as the earlier ones-- e.g., bear grease and cranberries-- (that may have been the Lewis & Clark recipe)-- but modern Pemmican retains the compact and nutritious product that it was in the beginning.I shopped around in the local stores but all I found were little candy-bar type snack foods, expensive and full of high fructose corn syrup.Thank you Amazon for providing this quality product at such a good price.I keep a few bars at work in my desk.  Along with an apple, it makes a perfect meal, and so much healthier, faster, and less expensive than eating off the lunch truck.I've shared it with two people and they both liked it as well.

My title says it all. These bars are tasty, filling and satisfying. The consistency and taste reminds me of heavy fruit cake but these are a lot healthier. A super product.
