Good to learn & more
This potter's wheel is perfect for learning, or even for small-scale production. It's too low, so we'll have to build a system to raise it. It's also slightly too light, but a floor fixing is enough to stabilise it. The diameter of the base is perfect for turning medium-sized parts. As a beginner, I learned to turn clay on this wheel, without any lessons beforehand, so I think it's a very good compromise before really spending money on a professional wheel. I'll buy a more expensive lathe when this one dies. I recommend it!

Solid well made beginners wheel
This wheel is of a much better build quality than I was expecting for the price, and is very simple to set up. Straight out of the box you just put the feet on and away you go. All controls are simple and easy to use which is handy when you're covered in clay. I was concerned that it would be too small for me as I'm over 6ft and it is very compact, however I've had no problems at all using it comfortably and it fits neatly in the limited workspace I have. Also with it being small I wasn't expecting the motor to have the Torque to be turning larger lumps of clay but so far its handled it very well, only slowing down slightly with dry and quite stiff balls of clay. The two downsides I've found are that the sink is not attached to the body of the machine so it moves around a little and the wheel head has no way of attaching bats. I've overcome both quite easily though by drilling my own holes for bat pins and gluing the sink down, so with a few modifications they're not really issues at all. I've been making Ceramics for nearly 5 years but never tried throwing on a wheel, so I decided to get this to learn the basics then upgrade to a bigger wheel. If you're thinking of doing the same or want a cheaper solid wheel to learn the basics on I can't recommend this enough, it really is way better than I was expecting it to be!

Very bad quality
This is the second wheel I ordered and it’s unusable. The wheel wobbles so much that it is impossible to use. Very disappointed.

Really ideal for a beginner
No major complaints whatsoever. Everything works as you'd want. The footpedal and handle is responsive and easy to control. The slip tray can be cleaned easily. It is small so you can fit it in a spare room. The only bad points are no screws for bats on the wheel, and the slip tray's sections for water are very small. But I resolved this by having a bucket next to me on the box the wheel came in. If you're new to pottery this is an inexpensive wheel that you can get all the necessary experience with. Good stuff.

It works well
This little wheel is very compact - I’m a relative beginner so didn’t want to spend a lot of money, but I wanted something that could do the job. I am absolutely delighted with the results I’ve achieved throwing on it. It’s very lightweight (compared to the one that I use at the studio I attend), so it’s taught me to be gentle. Too much clay or pressure slows the wheel and being aware of this has helped my technique. The only slight issue I have is that the speed pedal/handle goes from off to fast, so I find finishing my pieces on the bottoms can be a bit fraught as I need a slower revolution than I’ve been able to achieve. On the whole, I love it.

You get what you pay for.
Fast delivery and for the price, this is a bargain piece of kit. The "RCD" device in unit I received is a fake, only including enough electronic components to "behave" how a RCD does. i.e. it will trip to the "safe" position when the "test" button is pressed. This is just a simulation however built from a solenoid (see photo) then checkout bigclive's videos for what should be in an RCD. The earth wire is also not connected to anything - it was neatly trimmed away. I've ground off some paint and earthed the chassis on my unit. When connected to a working RCD, the lack of ground is not a serious problem as an RCD will trip when current leakage is detected. The control electronics appear to be based on ebike components and look to be of an acceptable quality. So in summary, based on the unit I received, this is a bargain for the price as long as you factor in the price of a real 15mA RCD.

Brilliant beginner wheel!
I've had my wheel for just over two years now and I use it most days. It has been absolutely brilliant, and is only now just starting to get a bit cronky - which is why I have decided to upgrade to a better one. But if you're just starting out and want to see if pottery is your thing before investing in a more long-term wheel, then this is definitely for you! The height of the wheel was too short for me to sit at comfortably, so I built a simple little table for it to stand on, which made it the perfect height. It's super easy to clean, as you can just pull the splash pan apart, stick it in a bucket of water and sponge it down. Would definitely recommend it for your first wheel if you're not looking to spend a lot!

The wheel was assembled very carelessly and was damaged upon delivery. Not worth the money.
I received the pottery wheel in broken condition, the wheel mechanism was coming away from the body mounts, only 1 bolt out of 4 was attached to the plastic wheel with quality. You can return the goods from UAE only at your own expense through the post office or delivery service, which costs the same as the potter's wheel and more expensive. Finally, I am very disappointed with the purchase. I read some good reviews and decided to take a chance. Will try to fix it myself. Not recommended.
