I bought these plates for my grandchildren to use when they visit. Each child has his/her favorite color, and the color selection here seemed perfect. However, when I received them, I was disappointed in the colors. I wanted a more vibrant red and yellow than what I got. The kids (James and Josiah) were disappointed in their plates, but Julie loves hers (blue). The plates are functional, sturdy and easy to clean, so the color problem is a no issue.

This product is great for older people who live on their own. I previously ordered these same plates, plus some matching pieces, for my 87-year-old parents because my father had fallen while unloading the dishwasher and could have hurt himself very badly if he had been holding something breakable at the time. I chose this product for that reason, plus the fact that it is dishwasher and microwave safe. I do see some knife marks on the plates I previously bought, from my parents cutting their food, similar to what you might see on a plastic cutting board, but that does not bother me. I bought this product again because my parents needed more than four large plates. They are happy with these dishes and use them exclusively now. They have even moved their breakable dishes to a different place in the kitchen.

I have had some plastic "every day" dishes I've been using for years. They looked horrible with scratches, stains and even melted spots from sitting too closed to the stove. It was time for new. My matching dinnerware set is stoneware and OH so heavy. I started to look for the plastic or melamine, but wait. But everyone knows you shouldn't microwave plastic and now I find out you can't microwave melamine either. Keep looking. Eureka! I found these JUCOXO wheat straw plates (WHAT?). I was skeptical but read the ratings and decided to give them a try. They are perfect!! They have a nice curve on them for juicier meals, are lightweight and MICROWAVABLE! Dishwasher safe too, but for everyday it's just my husband and I so we usually just hand wash. I got the dinner plate size and the lunch/dessert plate size. I love them.

Not sure exactly what these are made of, but they don’t get even slightly hot in the microwave. I make baked potatoes 🥔 on them in the microwave and they are in there for over 6 minutes. Barely hot to the touch. They are thick and sturdy. They are porous and stain if you use tomato sauce.

We take a lot of our meals in other parts of our house so these quite mobile and do not break if dropped. I think they are a bit expensive.

Straw dinnerwear was a new product for me. But these are not what I expected. Every stab with a fork or slice of a knife leaves a mark. They slip and slide easily and just are not heavy enough for daily use. Maybe for the occasional picnic...but not for everyday. I feel like I'm eating from a child's play dish set. I will be purchasing something more sturdy but still crack/break resistant.

I was so excited about finding a product that I could use to reheat food in the microwave. While I love the fact that it does not get overly hot, the lasagne stained the plate permanently.
