Great tool and easy to use.
This is such an easy tool to use. Powder coating is so easy and always ends up great. No runs in paint and the finish is rock hard. Just get an old kitchen oven and you’re good to go with small parts. I’ve done 15” wheels with mine.

Skip the Harbor Freight set up, this is way better
Huge upgrade from the Harbor Freight option for not much more money. Great for home use.

Good hobby powder coating gun, but don't expect professional-level charging
I purchased this as a second powder coating gun for smaller jobs and quick color changes, and overall I've been pleased with its performance. The gun produces a nice, even powder spray that's easy to control, making it suitable for smaller parts and detail work. The adjustable voltage settings are useful, and I found both operating ranges to be functional depending on the part being coated. Where it falls short is electrostatic charging. The powder does charge well enough to coat parts successfully, but the transfer efficiency isn't on the same level as professional powder coating equipment. I noticed more overspray and wasted powder because the electrostatic attraction isn't as strong as higher-end systems. Compared to the Harbor Freight powder coating gun, I would consider this an improvement. However, it's still a noticeable step below professional units when it comes to charging performance and powder transfer. For hobbyists and occasional powder coating, I think it's a solid option. If you're coating parts every day or trying to maximize transfer efficiency, you'll probably still want a commercial-grade system. Pros: Smooth, controllable powder spray Easy to use Dual voltage settings are useful Better performance than entry-level hobby guns Good for small jobs and color changes Cons: Electrostatic charge is weaker than professional equipment More overspray and powder waste than higher-end guns Bottom line: A capable hobby-level powder coating system that performs well and is easy to control. It offers better performance than basic entry-level units, but it doesn't quite match the transfer efficiency and charging power of professional powder coating equipment.

It's OK.
Works well enough for a newbie. Annoying how many cables hanging everywhere. You get what you get for the price. It's a hundred dollar gun. Not a 5K gun.

Old bottles do not fit
I purchased this April 27th 2026 the bottle that came with it works fine but I have 25 other bottles that I've purchased from Eastwood that do not fit because the thread is different on the gun than the bottles it's a finer thread so I cannot use any of my older bottles that I keep powder coat in and it's been more than 30 days so they won't do a return. In the pictures the Yellow Tape indicates where the thread start and stop the new bottle is empty and it's definitely a finer thread because the threads go around farther
