Good quality brazing rods
Just starting to get into HVAC/R and used this to practice brazing copper tube. Works fantastic. Flows really well with no flux. If you use quality tools and products you will get quality results.

Good for copper to copper - better than solder!
Used new clean copper fittings & tubing... used oxy/act torch, got copper cherry red and Sil-Fos 15 worked great, followed the heat, and no leaks!

Marked as Genuine Sil-Fos rods would be but I only got 5 out of 7 in the box.
They probably would have worked fine if whoever packed it took the trouble to make sure there was a cap on both ends of the tube. They are marked as if they are genuine sil-fos rods however I only received 5. What was sitting on my porch had a rod sticking out of the end, see photo.

Works well
Put a new compressor in my Subzero. Used to join copper to copper without flux. Doesn't flow as easily as regular solder and I used oxy/acy torch, #2 tip, 3X carburizing flame. Instead of just putting at top of joint, you must dab it around joint to get it in there. Mapp gas with TS7000 didn't melt it. Would probably use Stay Silv flux next time, just because i have it..

DIY slab leak repair
Purchased to solder in new section of copper pipe under concrete slab. Used one standard propane torch and one torch running the 2017 Mapp gas at same time. Not sure it would have been posssible with just one torch. I doubt the Mapp gas was really required. Resulting joint seems much stronger than ordinary plumbing solder.
