Glycerin base soap contains a detergent component that was made with lye as a product of saponification. That is why this soap doesn’t not need curing and safer to use for crafting projects

Can this be used for shampoo?

Yes. There are shampoo bars recipe that uses glycerin base soap as the main component I found online. But this product is just a a base soap and you need to mix other ingredients which depends on your needs (e.g moisturizing or dandruff). We added aloe Vera and essential oil in the soap that we made
