I have been making Indian food at home more often and decided to try this Abida Rasheed garam masala. The aroma right out of the package is incredible, featuring very distinct and fragrant notes of star anise, fennel, and clove. It really delivers an authentic Kerala flavor profile. I used it to make a homemade Indian curry, and the depth of warmth it added was exactly what I was looking for. I am someone who craves exceptionally spicy food, so I always add extra heat to my meals, but the complex foundation of this organic spice blend stood out beautifully and made the entire dish absolutely delicious.A few days later, I used this same blend as the base for a chicken tikka marinade. Comes in the sealed can , with additional temper proof labels ABIDA RASHEED Home Made Garam Masala spice.Mine was well packaged, clearly labeled made in India. "Garam Masala" - are your basic grandfathers spice, some sort of combination of: Black pepper, Coriander seeds, Fennel seeds, Cumin seeds, Green cardamoms, Black cardamomFenugreek seeds, Mustard seeds, Star anise, Cinnamon sticks, cloves, etc. I like the aroma, slight heat and spiciness of this mixture. They all slightly different, but overall we really enjoyed it.
