They are a nice thickness, I wouldn’t want them thicker or thinner. They really look a great deal nicer in person than they do online. Previously, I hated using parchment paper, because edges of the paper would fly up and burn even with food on them. These silicone mats don’t fly up and burn and they are safe at high temperatures. Plus, cleaning them couldn’t be easier as I toss them in the dishwasher. It is obvious to me that they will last for many, many years.I have the Philips Digital Twin TurboStar Airfryer XXL. These square silicone mats fit near perfectly in my Philips Kitchen Appliances Digital Twin TurboStar Airfryer XXL. I say near, because there is a tiny lift on the edges of the mat where it could be a very, tiny bit smaller to fit perfectly. However this does not affect how well it works. (And if it bothered me, I could simply cut them to shave a sliver off the edges.) For those who have this particular air fryer, you know it has a bizarrely curved bottom to both the basket and the grill. Maybe some people like this curve, but it drives me crazy, because I find food rolls to the outside edges constantly and I end up with a pile of food along the walls of the basket and no food in the middle of the basket or grill. Worse, when the food rolls, I often get burned food on one side and unbrowned food on the other, since the food doesn’t stay in place after I turn it and will roll back to the original position. With these silicone mats, the food rolling to the edge is virtually eliminated. They definitely keep food from getting stuck in the basket, as well, which was a constant problem.I don’t think they keep the basket clean, although it’s probably correct to say the basket doesn’t get as much stuck on food in it. After all, the mats have holes in them to allow air flow, so juices flow through these same air holes, as well. But, frankly, that was obvious to me before I bought them.Because food is not getting stuck in the basket holes it is easier to shake the basket to turn the food. And food does not seem to get stuck in the holes of the silicone mats.I’m glad I bought these. I would definitely buy them again if they were suddenly to go missing for some reason. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I use these mats in all of my air fry ovens and air fry grills. For my Ninja Foodi 5-in-1 grill, these mats fit perfectly for both the grill and the air fry basket. In the NinjaFoodi XL grill, these mats are a bit small, but are useful if air frying an amount of food that fits on them. I also use them for my Ninja Foodi XL oven and need to use both mats to cover the air fry basket.Admittedly, I have never tried to use parchment paper in any of the air fry ovens since it would not stay down with the fans. The weight of these mats holds them down. Most of the foods I air fry are either breaded or stick to the air fry basket (oiling the basket can destroy the finish). Previous to getting these pads, the mesh of the air fry baskets was often difficult to get really clean. Stuff stuck in the corners where the mesh crossed, and often fell through the baskets to burn onto the base of the grill or the heating elements in the oven. I got them clean, but it sometimes took some effort and time.These mats are a game changer for all of my ovens and grill. Some juices may fall through them depending on what is air fried, but no breading, cheese, etc. falls through. Nothing sticks to these mats and only a little soap and warm water washes off any grease or oil on them. The time saver is in cleaning the air fry baskets and grills. Absolutely nothing is stuck to them and a swish in warm soapy water cleans of any grease or juices that my have gotten through to them. Since using these mats, I haven't had to clean any burnt residue from the heating elements in my oven. If I ever had to replace these mats, I would definitely buy them again.I hope this review was helpful for you. I will update this review if my opinion changes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ They are ok *by D***A on September 3, 2024* Silicone (of any kind) absorbs smells, so these will smell like soap after washing for a while, thankfully the smell does NOT transfer to food.
