LAURA GELLER Baked Balance-n-Brighten Colour Correcting Powder Foundation (Light) Buildable Light to Medium Coverage Baked Foundation, Demi-Matte Finish

This is fantastic. I’ve used Bare Minerals loose powder foundation for years which I love but my skin has changed with age and I just can’t get the right shade anymore. So I believed the hype and tried this and I’m so happy. It’s like a baked version of the BareMinerals loose powder with some mineral veil added in. Half the price too so win win. It’s easy to apply and is very lightweight but definitely covers my reddened areas with no patchiness or orange colour. It really does blend to my natural skin tone,It’s fairly matte if you apply it thickly so I’ve ordered the satin finish version too whilst the Amazon Prime deals are on. It doesn’t settle into fine lines and stays on for a few hours. I used moisturiser and primer first. I chose the shade by the photos of the models, I’m normally medium is most foundations but light was the best choice from this company.

I’ve been using the Light to Medium shade and it matches my skin tone really nicely. The powder feels very soft and lightweight on the skin, and it blends easily without looking heavy or cakey. It gives my complexion a healthy, slightly glowy look which I really like for everyday wear. It’s not a full coverage foundation, so it won’t completely hide pigmentation or darker spots. If you need more coverage you may still want to use concealer or another foundation underneath. However, for a natural look it works very well and evens out the skin tone nicely. I like that it can be used on its own for a quick, natural finish, or over liquid foundation to set makeup. Overall it’s a lovely product if you prefer a light, natural look rather than heavy coverage.

After using the same foundation for the past 10 years, it was time for a change. The foundation I used in my 40’s no longer looked good in my 50’s and sat in my fine lines or made my skin look caked & dry. I’d done lots of research into different brands and it was a choice between Jones Road or Laura Geller. After watching a lot of videos, reviews & tutorials decided to give LG a go as it was less expensive. I’ve always brought make up in store but was reassured by their free returns/exchange policy incase the shade wasn’t right. I also liked the fact that they were Cruelty Free - something that was important to me but not immediately obvious on their website, I had to do some research to find this out (Laura Geller you’re missing a trick here!) I was pleased with the packaging and how the product looked but was really impressed with how the actual product worked for me. I’ve found dabbing a little on at a time with a big brush helps build the coverage to your liking. It definitely doesn’t sit in my fine lines and doesn’t look cakey. You can achieve a natural look easily and it’s long lasting. It definitely covers the redness on my nose & cheeks. I’ve been so impressed with this I ordered the next shade down too as my skin colour changes in winter in the UK when I lose my tan. I also ordered the Baked Starter Kit direct from LG in the USA as the discount was better. I’ve been beyond impressed with this. As a blonde with pinky tones, the colour choices are perfect and the products stay put. I’ve never been able to blend eyeshadow effectively but this colour combo and product makes me look like a pro!! So, a big YES for Laura Geller from the UK for me, great value for money and great products which are easy to use and compliment mature skin beautifully!

I was looking for something to give my skin a little bit of colour and coverage during the hot weather. I usually use a tinted moisturiser or Trinny London BFF shade light medium. I decided on shade light after much deliberation. So here’s what I found. The compact is very nice and comes with a small mirror in the lid. I found the texture of the powder to be very slightly “gritty” in texture compared with other face powders, I can only put this down to the pearlised parts of the powder which serve as highlighter. I also found the shade a bit light for my skin tone and think that I probably should have gone for medium,( I didn’t choose medium as some reviews said that it made their complexion rather orange!) Hopefully I can use this during winter and autumn months when my skin is naturally slightly paler. So to sum up, would I buy again? Probably not, it’s not a bad product but I feel that it’s a bit overhyped, it certainly didn’t give me any coverage as shown on the videos and didn’t do anything for my wrinkles lol. What it did do was brighten my skin slightly with a hint of colour. It’s also quite expensive unless you get it on a deal as I did. As they say on TV, “other face powders are available” and you may well find something better on Amazon. All in all, I’d give it 3/5 stars, hope you find this helpful!

Best foundation in the market at the moment! Love it. I’m over 50 and this has made life much easier for me since I started using it. So quick and easy in the morning and stays in all day but I do use a good primer with it.

I love this so much!! It’s so natural on my face and I can build it up if needed on evenings out. I don’t ever write reviews but I have been boosting about this so much to my friends that they think that I’m on commission!!!

The coverage is virtually non existent, the shade i ordered was so dark, even though i checked the product guidance based on my skin tone. Id probably need 2 shades lighter. Im glad i didnt pay full price for this. I wouldn't recommend.

Lovely easy to use pressed powder. I find it works well over LG Quench n Tint. I chose the colour light as I have light/medium skin with golden undertone. Seemed a bit too light at first, but if you make sure to warm the powder by buffing well onto skin it soon adapts to your skin colour. And once blusher etc applied, good to go. I think the LG powders are quite forgiving, so may possibly try the medium next time.

As a mature woman, I was looking for a foundation that would not settle in lines and would give a smooth and non caked appearance. This fills the bill. It gives light yet full coverage and smooths out the skin. It helps to buy the primer - goes on better and improves the appearance. I have become a loyal user.

Works well for skin color , minimizing some redness. Seems quality for $$ when I can get it on sale! Clings to skin while being very lightweight. Feels like not wearing anything. Can wear it alone or with full compliment of blush, eye shadow, etc. Seems to last all day. No issue using on oily skin/ combination skin. I really like that it’s fast and easy to apply!

Davvero un ottimo fondotinta per pelle matura. Sono una over 50 e questo fondo é stupendo non si infila nelle rughe e sembra di non avere nulla sulla pelle. Coprenza modulabile. Consigliatissimo
