I like everything about this knife with one exception. I love the colors, the blade design and the locking mechanism. My only small dislike is the difficulty in releasing the blade. It is quite a push to get it to deploy. I am hoping it gets better with usage. Otherwise quite happy.

Cool color choices but they seem to be mostly plastic, but still with a sturdy feel. Very tough and sharp blade that deploys with power since it is spring loaded. Nice handle design that looks and feels good in the hand. I thought the locking mechanism was just a gimmick until the thumb studs got caught in my pocket while trying to remove it and the blade sprung open while still in the pocket. Overall, it is a cool looking knife that is tough enough to be an actual work knife.

Opens easy, after you learn the trick. Push the stud from the bottom. My question is; what is the little metal disc for?

Purchased as a gift after I have received one of the Aegis models as a gift myself. These knives are very sturdy extremely sharp and hold an edge for a long time. The safety mechanism is a great addition and the placement of the pocket hook is smart. Recipient of gift thoroughly enjoys this piece and uses it often. I recommend for anyone looking for an excellent knife with practical use and sturdy build.

Two stars for looks, but that's it. Well, I suppose the ergonomics are okay, too. But mine was sticky, stiff, and finicky after just a few uses. There are just too many pocket knives out there you can better spend your money on.

The lock works, use it...trust me....just use it. That is all. Also...great knife.

The indigo is definitely more of a navy blue on mine. I’m cool with that as I own 5 SOG knives 2 of them automatic and the others semiautomatic locking as this one. But the color is definitely not indigo on mine. JS.
