Tired of HP issues.
Bought to print a few pages every now and again. Worked as expected when I got it, but the next time I went to use it, a number of months later, the cartridge didn't work, it had dried up and no amount of printer head cleaning or manual cleaning would fix it. Printer companies really do have us over the barrel. If you don't use genuine ink the printer messes around and usually needs some kind of "hack" to get working, but if you spend the full price on genuine ink, the cartridges dry up. We can't win.

Overpriced
I recently ran out of ink on my HP Photosmart C4780 printer and was shocked to discover that prices have increased by over 50% since my last purchase. Most major retailers including HP are now charging almost £40 for this product. These ink cartridges are overpriced and are not worth the purchase.I don't usually recommend buying non-branded but given the unacceptable high cost of these and other branded ink cartridges, maybe it's something to consider if you mostly print text-based documents. Either that or buy a new printer, it could work out cheaper!

always reliable cartridges
I've never had a fail with these cartridges and have been using them for about 5 years. They are easy to instal ( I have the envy 120) and provide good quality pages, even on the draft setting. The only thing is the packaging for the black cartridges and tri-colour is very similar. If you're in a rush when ordering (as I was) then double check you're ordering the right one! I made a mistake but the return policy was excellent and I was able to get a refund. These cartridges are getting quite expensive now and it is usually better value to purchase the XL type - you get far more pages of print.

No choice
I have had Epsom printers and now own an HP. The model I have is excellent however like most people find the ink is unbelievably expensive. HP seem to do 3 levels of ink from the basic to this item and then onto the XL which for most people are out of their price rang (£50 to £75) This size it says will print 200 Black sheet and 165 colour. I assume this means 200 black plus 165 colour. No way of proving this though because depends on how much type.content there is per page and also you would be surprised how much ink is used up when performing clean/align maintenance on your printer. It also depends on the age of the ink ie is it close to or passed the use date. I can't say I get great results as not an expert on printer settings but for general use it is OK.

My final purchase of HP cartridges via Amazon
I will not be purchasing HP300 tri-color or black cartridges via Amazon again. I had been in the habit of purchasing cartridges when the price had been discounted even though I would not need to use them until some time later but within their use by date. A tri-color cartridge I bought in 2020 went dry within a few months despite not having been regularly used. The seller refused to replace it due to the time lapsed since the purchase. My printer recently alerted me to a black cartridge that was bought new had a damaged casing even though it appeared intact. It printed a faint light blue colour. I have since bought replacements from John Lewis.
