I hate in the fishing community that everybody thinks you need to buy the overpriced "leader" wrist spools to use with braided line. That is simply not the case. It's literally the same stuff just the leader claims to be more "abrasion resistant". I'm not believing that it's literally the same stuff as a spool of line. That being said, this works perfectly for me. It's very good quality and my line flys through the guide smoothly. It's super easy to cast and isn't overly visible. I've also never had it coil up on me. It's good to be able to replace long lengths of leader without being worried, knowing I'm not being ripped off for paying for "leader line"

This 30 lb test monofiliment fishing line was an absolute perfect replacenent for the monofiliment "string" used to secure the lenses in my semi (half) glass frames. Next time you need to replace the fishing line (string), which has a diameter of .54mm, go grab your fishing equipment and see if your fishing line isn't the perfect size. Go find yourself a YouTube video to see how fast and easy this repair is to make. Unfortunately, I didn't have any fishing line available so I had to buy this one. I could have purchased a separate repair it that came with a few strips of precut lengths of fishing line and called repair string for the exact same price of this 440 yard 30 lb test fishing line.

Nice line, but a bit stiffer than I like.

This is one of the best lines for the money you can get. I have over 30 years using this brand with little to no complaints. If I ever lost a fist, it was due to my knot tying ability, not the line. NOTE: You can use line at least 5-10 lb less than what you think you should use. This allows for a longer cast, more line on your reel, and using a little finsees you can still get that lunker in the boat

I have been using this line for over 30 years and there is no other monofilament line that I'd even think about using on tough fish in heavy cover. I've caught 110lb alligator gar on 20lb test line and one that weighed in at 242lbs on 50lb test. I never lost a gar to a broken line and that is catching dozens over 100lbs and many over 200lbs...and that was just me. My fishing partners soon switched if they weren't using it already and all have had similar experiences. It resists abrasion better than any mono I've tried or seen. It stretches well and in a controlled manner which helps avoid the shock of a big fish making a quick run on short line using stiff rods. Perfect for big cats. I've caught many in the 40-60lb range on 15 and 20lb test lines. IT IS NOT A FINESS LINE. Crappie and trout fisherman look for something else. I use the 50 and 80lb test line to make leaders for big cats using live bait because it wears like light wire and allows for more action from the bait. My catfish reels are all strung with some iteration of Trilene Big Game.

I'm jumping the gun and going 5 stars but I haven't fought a fish yet with this line. Still, the product is exactly as described. Hopefully, it works as well as it looks.

Love the colour, good strength, and good quality. Have yet to snap off the leader saver I tied on when I re-spooled and I have been in to a few decent snags where others are snapping mainline. I bought 30lbs. Cool colour too! Lots of other guys are always asking where I got it because it’s so easy to see when fishing the river, but in the water it’s not hugely visible at all, especially the Fraser. Does knot up a bit more when casting compared to my last line but with use it will even out. Do not let this scare you away from purchasing it! Thumbs up from me
