It’s super soft, and the memory foam is thick- but folds down a lot into its carrying case which was ideal for putting it into my carry on bag. I left it crammed in the tiny case for the week away and it returned to its original size immediately. The hood did a great job blocking out the light, it was definitely better than using an eye mask. I compared it to some other neck pillows with hoods, like the inflatable ones, but I’m really glad I purchased this one because it feels very high quality.
