Looks great and fits perfectly under my fishbowl Chinese vase which has an 8" diameter base. ln addition to the 8" diameter of the stand surface,there is also an excess of about 1/4" all the way around surrounding my 8" vase base, which includes a protective lip at the outer edge of the stand. This is added security for your vase. My vase, which has hand painted Chinese maidens, is 12" diameter across the top and stands 9"tall. The stand is about 6" tall on its own. Inside the pot, I put a very realistic looking silk bamboo tree of which is 5' tall. To stabilize it, I added a mixture of3X10 lb. mixes of natural river rocks for a total of 30 lbs. Proportionately, all the size measurements of everything seem to go just perfectly together. Altogether, the stand is holding about 55 lbs. on it and it doesn't seem to be stressed or weakened in any way. I have even had to drag it across the wood floor back and forth a ways last night to hang pictures and it didn't seem stressed in the slightest. I think the 5 legged design is structurally very strong. It made for a very stable base for my vase, tree, and heavy stones. I am really impressed with the quality, performance, and looks of this stand, and the whole affect I was able to create (and the stand was a large part of it) looks FANTASTIC!!! ### ⭐⭐ Not quite what I expected. *by K***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2016* The product is the color and form I expected, and I expect it to hold my pot well. The color is lovely.The size 10 pot is slightly larger than a 10" diameter pot.Very pretty, however the paint is not in good shape. The packaging looked ok but the paint is pulled away from the joints, and is chipped in some places. I was pretty disappointed for the price. I've been able to turn the stand to make the chips unnoticeable. ### ⭐ BUYERS BEWARE... *by G***3 on Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2017* I received my wood stand today and am terribly disappointed. I have purchased many of these over the years. I have never seen one as poorly made as this one. The finish is heavy and GRITTY--no sanding done prior to lacquering. The legs are not evenly spaced! The space ranges from 4-51/2" between and is very obvious. The top surface is lacking the raised edge that holds your urns in place. The edges of legs are not sanded.
