This fixed a 3D Print Head problem for me
When you feed your filament down into your print head (on most 3D printers) it is driven through a gear set and then into a barrel that transitions the filament into the nozzle. The top of most barrels is either flat or has a slight chamfer and I often have trouble getting the filament to transition smoothly from the drive gear into the throat of the barrel. By using this countersink, I am able to modify the top of the barrel to provide a more forgiving entry into the barrel. Please click the "helpful" button below

Sharp, Affordable, Works on Stainless
I would say this is a great option for the home hobbiest or occasional shop use. I attached an image of the surface finish and tool detail after making a countersink in 304 stainless steel plate. This is the hardest material I will be using this bit on and it worked flawlessly. This was made using a drill press with lubricant with even pressure at about 500 RPM.

I drilled 50 countersink holes in 1/4" mild steel and it still looks perfect.
I got it for both steel and wood. Looks like I made a great decision. Held up very well to mild steel.

OK
I'm a retired toolmaker. This is good quality - but not professional quality. Good for wood.

Terrible and chatters like crazy
Returned it, can't cut a smooth edge at all, Chattered a lot more than my Bosch ones (which were only slightly more in price). Washboard edges even with hardwood. Its not worth it.

Cuts good
Cuts wood and Aluminum well.

Feeds and speeds are the key to chatter free parts
Read a book or ask the old guy in the shop to do it

Solid piece. Alot of "clatter" on mild steel and Al with a hand held drill. Edges were very rough but the beveled area to countersink screws worked..

Good
I’m using this in wood and it’s great. Like any counter sink it doesn’t like to have a hole pre drilled or it will chatter. Eventually I’ll use it in aluminum and expect it will be just fine. I would recommend it.

It works but you have to clean the cutting edge regularly.
Not the best cutting edge.
