I love the consistent production quality of a product.

These filters work perfectly in our Technivorm Moccamaster, and we have been using them for several years. Also, paper filters remove coffee oils, which contain cafestol, the most potent dietary cholesterol-elevating agent known, according to researchers from Baylor College of Medicine. My doctor knows I don't want to take statins, but my cholesterol had been borderline high for years. We had been using a drip coffee maker with a mesh screen permanent filter rather than paper filters for many of those years. After five years of not having my cholesterol checked following two or three years of using paper filters in our Moccamaster, my doctor told me that I didn't need to do anything -- my numbers were fine. I'm attributing that to filtering out the cafestol from my coffee.

Much better than Moccamaster #4 Cone filters at a much lower price. I have been using the Moccamaster filters for over 25 years but they make them different now and are made poorly. The Melitta filters are made correctly. These filters let the water go through at a much better flow rate than the Moccamaster filters and are made much better. After 25 years I made the switch because the Melitta filters are better in all aspects of construction.
