GREAT STRAWS!! we use them for hot coffee, smoothies, cold drinks and they do not disintegrate in your mouth. They have a hard shell! In the pic you can see the shine, even though you can see the grain, it’s not grainy feeling. They’re like regular straws so not the best for super thick smoothies but quality wise, they’re perfect! I hate drinking without a straw and feel so guilty using plastic but I HATEEEEE paper straws, they make me gag. 😩 These are biodegradable and made from veggie fibers! I don’t feel guilty and it feels like a rice paper type of plastic material? Nothing gross feeling at all. Just a SUPER slight texture. It’s SO minimal it’s hard to notice. (I’m VERY weird about textures lol) hope this helps someone else switch from plastic 😅

Sturdiness: These are nice and strong, much stronger than paper straws I've tried. I've left one of these sitting in a tumbler of tea for several hours and it didn't soften at all. Also I cut the bottom end at an angle for easier bubble tea drinking (similar to the pointed ends tea shops have on their plastic straws) and the pointy bit doesn't crumple at all. It holds its point just as well as plastic does. Flavor: They didn't flavor my drinks much. Maybe a faint (but not unpleasant) plant-y taste when I drink plain water through them, but anything else like tea or soda it doesn't affect at all. Much better than paper straws IMO. Size: A good length for a tall tumbler I sometimes use. Maybe a little long for regular drinking glasses, but still very usable (and you can trim them shorter if you want). Also wide enough to fit boba through, especially if you trim the bottom (in-drink) end at an angle. Value: Yes 70 straws for this price is way more than you'd pay for plastic, but for biodegradable veggie-fiber-based straws that do their job this well and don't flavor my drinks I feel it's very worth it. Love them, I've reordered twice and plan to keep buying more whenever I run low!

Love these things. I rinse and reuse them a couple times. They never get soggy. If only every place stocked these

I’m a fan! Will reorder if I ever run out. They seem to be lasting forever :) I like they’re not plastic or stainless . I actually got rid of all of my rainbow stainless ones and now exclusively use these veggie ones. I’m highly suspicious that someday in the not too distant future information will come out saying that the stainless ones are somehow doing damage to our health. Kind of like everything else we put in our mouth. Thank you FDA!!!

These veggie straws are great! They’re sturdy, biodegradable, and feel much more eco-friendly than regular plastic straws. Using them with my drinks makes me feel like I’m on a tropical vacation, sipping cocktails by the beach, even if I’m just at home. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that a few straws were slightly bent out of the package, but that’s minor and didn’t affect usability. Overall, they’re fun, environmentally friendly, and add a playful vibe to any drink.

I've wanted to try these for a while, especially as my grandkid loves sipping from a straw. While we did try permanent straws (metal), keeping up with the cleaning of these is difficult with a toddler. As plastic straws are a big NOPE for my eco-friendly farm, these looked intriguing. Here's what was notable: *While I expected an unwelcome texture, these feel smooth as silk. *There is no taste, at all. Perfect. *I plopped one in hot coffee and left it there. There was no change, at all, in the quality of the straw. *I plopped one in white wine, thinking alcohol might destroy it faster. It sat there for hours: no change. *Biting on the straw is just like biting on a plastic straw (if you are like me and tend to gnaw on them). *I couldn't tear them with my teeth, so neither can my toddler grandchild. (Safety issue resolved!) *It went right into the compost. That was a great feeling. I'm sold. :)
