Easy to Apply and Looks Great
I'm fairly new to detailing my cars and decided to try ceramic coating for the first time. After a bunch of research I narrowed my choices down to either Gtechniq CSL or Ammo NYC Reflex Pro II because of their easy wipe on/off application. I ultimately went with Gtechniq CSL because I can get it fast from Amazon. After applying CSL to my Rivian last night I still have exactly half a bottle of CSL left over which isn't bad. For $100 you can cover at least 2 cars which is great for a 5 year coating. The install process was as easy as it gets for ceramic. Most other ceramics have very little room for error and require you to pay close attention to when it flashes. With CSL you just wipe it on then immediately wipe it off. Super easy. You do still have to be really careful with it though - at one point the serum transferred from my MF towel on to my gloves, and then I touched my window which left an imprint (noob move). Luckily I spotted it before it cured and was able to get it off. But once it cures the only way to get it off would be to use a polisher. Some advice for those doing this for the first time; 1) the paint prep is the most important step. If you don't know how to prep or don't have the gear to do this then I would focus on that first before trying ceramic. 2) I highly recommend installing this with really good lighting. If you leave even one smudge it'll be semi-permanent. 3) Have a lot of clean MF towels on hand! Overall if you're checked all these boxes then give Gtechniq CSL a try, this will be my go-to from now on.

CSL…Still One of the Best!!
Gtechniq CSL is one of the best and easiest to use consumer ceramic coatings on the market. Applying the coating is an absolute breeze allowing the installer to work around a vehicle in a relatively short amount of time. After the coating is cured the gloss is stunning. Water sheds right off making cleaning way easier. I got a 50ml bottle for a 2026 Toyota 4Runner and used just a bit more than half of the bottle. I coated all the jambs, paint, wheel faces and side glass. The windshield received a dedicated glass coating. CSL is still one of the best ceramic coatings available to the average Joe.

Easy to use and lasts 2 years or more even in direct sunlight.
Works very well, is also very pricey but this lasts 2-3 years and my car is hit by direct sun in the summer. Solid stuff, worth the high price tag when you don't need to consistently apply a wax/sealant for another 2 years. I only wish the bottle had better sealing ability, some of the product after a few years turned hard, to be expected as the bottle is not completely airtight once it's opened. Maybe a rubber gasket or something would help improve that.

Great coating
This product was recommended to me after doing alot of research on which ceramic coating to use. The ease of use is great as long as you follow the instructions. It provides a lasting coating and shine that I feel is one of the best. The product went on easily and came right off. I couldn't be happier.

Shines with protection!
Shines bright, feels slick and protection is amazing. Can't ask for a better product! Easy to put on even for someone who has never done this before.

Easy to apply
Used last year for my car: I did two coating to my Tesla along with EXO assuming it will add protection layer to the paint but it’s not . It’s easy to apply and its doing the job of keeping the car showroom look after every wash. Coz of the no paint protection, taking a star off.

Ceramic by GTechniq
I'm one that is always trying new wars etc for cars so I can take care of this non-VOC paints they use now which pale compared to car paints of old for longevity. Prepped my car, washing, stripping, polishing, the works. Since we as nonprofessionals cannot buy the good stuff we are relegated to buying lesser products. I had gtechniqs applied professionally to wife's outback because dealer grade stuff sucked (never buy the ceramic package offered, it's not as hard and is cheaper grade and scratches easily etc. After seeing how her car looked, I wanted to do something to lessen my job caring for my own car ('17 Legacy) i bought this because reviews are generally stellar for g tech. The CSL along with EXO v5 was a simple and very easy process (outside of the prep needed to get to application point). The CSL looked great. I bought the 1oz csl and 1.7 oz EXO. I wish I had bought the larger CSL but I did not coat my front grill area because of the rock chips as I may want to refresh that first. It's hard to know how much to use but as time goes you figure it out. The dropper looks like it has peyronies and it caused me to miss the pad a couple times(the applicator is small, 2-3 fingers at most but effective especially given amount used). CSL is better than C1 from the time between finishing application to being able to apply EXO (2 hrs for CSL, 4hrs for C1). NOTE: if they have them, buy extra application pads in case you drop yours on the ground. Also buy some new and good removal rags as you will need them. I am very happy with results on my car and given that you can refresh the EXOv5 in a couple years without much trouble thus means you can save the CSL from degradation without doing all the extra work. The CSL did fill in some minor scratches but for most part you need to do well correcting. Buy a light for inspecting Buy the Panel Wipe Buy at least a 12 pack of microfiber rags, the low profile (P1) rather than fuzzy ones and mark your wet removal one with a sharpie so you know which one is which. Buy large bottle of EXO to apply 2 coats. Be aware that you will spend a few hundred if you purchase window ceramic and polishes and residue remover BUT if you are detail oriented this system is hands down easy af. I am grateful the GTechniq makes a consumer grade product. I included the products I used but as of yet I have not bought the trim coating for my black rubber straps. I'll wait until full cured so I can tape off safely

Easy to apply and great results when you follow the guideline for application
Superb pro-sumer genuine ceramic coating. I am an amateur car valeter and I look after 6 to 8 family cars. I taught myself to paint correct using a DA 12mm throw machine and a selection of pads and compounds. Now when family buy a new car and the dealer does that upsell of trying to get them to spend a thousand on a ceramic coating they so no, Dad will do it for cost of materials. I have now done 5 cars with GT CSL and if your follow the rules, it is a top class ceramic coating. 1 Wash the car thoroughly and dry. 2 Claybar car to removed bonded contaminants. 3. wash and dry once more. 4 Paint correct using a DA polisher and a fine cut compound. 5 Use IPA or panel prep on each panel, I do this twice. 6 follow the instructions and apply the CSL to half a panel at a time and wait until it flashes over ( 60 secs to 90 secs). Level with one microfibre cloth then buff a wider area with second microfibre cloth. Keep your levelling cloth and your buffing cloth apart from each other, maybe have different colours. Work around the car until you have done all the painted surfaces. Allow to cure undercover for 12 hours. Consider adding two coats of G Techniq EXO on top , again following the guidelines or using a spray topper like G Techniq C2V3. I have another car to do for my DIL so I will be buying another bottle soon. It doesn't matter how old the car is, as long as you do a full decontamination wash and paint correction. the oldest car I have done is 12 years old and it now looks better than showroom condition as there are no swirl marks. I really enjoy working with G Techniq products and my family love having clean , well detailed cars.
