Iโve got daphnia!
They began hatching after 3 days but I will warn that it takes a week or two for a noticeable presence to establish and not all of them will hatch. The few that do hatch will reproduce quickly though. When they are young they are hard to see especially from above so I would definitely recommend a small clear container. I used a bit more than 1/2 gallon with no filtration just a piece of guppy grass and ~10 hours of grow light and the smallest bit of fry food. Now that theyโre established Iโll be moving them to a 5 gallon bucket with sponge filter. For the price I canโt say that theyโre the greatest value but it was fun to grow them myself and they worked first try.

Bought twice, zero hatches
Ordered these twice, 0 hatches either time. Tried multiple ways to hatch them. No ability to return or refund so buy at your own risk

Took eggs several weeks to hatch
It took a lot longer than I expected, but I have a thriving colony. Be patient, and make sure you have the right temps. Eggs will float on the surface, so best to hatch in a container that has no filtration.

Never hatched one of them
Hatching unsuccessful. Maybe old eggs. I bought from the same seller few times. They are very good quality. I thought this one will be too, but unfortunately, the Daphnia never hatched on the same natural condition.

Unconventional Start - Good Results
I ordered this and was skeptical but hopeful - and have been thoroughly impressed. I wanted to start a live food culture for some of my fish, and Daphnia are a great choice, so after looking for eggs to start myself I purchased this. It arrived on time, packaged well, etc. and when I opened it, it was exactly as described. I decided to run an experiment for hatching the daphnia eggs and it went really well. I poured about half of one microtube into a small baggy filled with about 4 oz of spring water, then set the bag to float in my tank which is heated and planted. I think the light cycle and warmth helped a lot and I have a bag full of babies that I can release - not to mention a lot of eggs left over in case I need to re-culture later. 48 hours - 4 or 5 babies 72 hours - probably 50-75 In total probably between 100-150 eggs Overall, very good experiment to see just how viable the eggs were, and not to brag, but currently I am a proud papa and soon the fish will be even happier. Not going to comment on how they suggest to start the eggs, but biological science says warm, wet and light hatch Daphnia eggs best and currently acclimating the babies to their 5 gallon nursery before taking some to grow in the 10 gallon Walsted for culturing!

Very disappointed
I bought Moina eggs from them and had a great results, hundreds of daphnia hatched with no issues. Because of that, I decided to try the Magna eggs too, but that was a total fail. Not a single one hatched. Very disappointed.

Thought I had a bad batch...just 1 was bad it seems
Unfortunately, nothing hatched. Not sure what I could have done wrong so I guess...bad batch? I figured after 2 weeks I would see something if there was anything. If I jumped the gun and something happens Ill update. Update: Guess I couldn't see them but after a couple months I now have millions of them. I guess I didnt know exactly what I was looking for... or they were just too small for at least a month. Would be 5star if both caps were able to produce but I guess I got enough out of the 1.

16hr on / 8hr off light schedule.
Not sure how most people on here are trying to hatch them the correct way. I started mine off in a 10 gallon aquarium. Ran the lights for 16 hours on 8 hours off the first 3 days and by day 2 I started seeing little white dots jumping around. Now I have a lot more than needed haha. Either way try the 16/8 light schedule when you go to hatch them it replicates a natural environment for them to have a better hatch rate. After that they just take off like a bat outa he'll.

Live food for the while summer.
I admit, I was sceptical, but no, this product is a winner. I hatched the daphnia in a jar in the kitchen. Once the babies were free swimming, I put them in a large drum in the garden - fed with yeast for the first week or two, they grew fast and started breeding. I had live daphnia for my fish for the whole summer. I am hoping that the outdoor drums will have some stored eggs, but will supplement with more of these eggs in the spring.

Zero hatch-rate
Not a single hatched.. attempted in multiple containers.. following instructions on box as well as others I looked up online. Believe these are all dead.. was a waste of time and money..
