But if your base isn't blonde but a brunette with blonde highlights your stylist would have to make that judgment. If you are blonde with blonde highlights then the blonde formula is a must. The reason why they created that formula is because from the past blondes found that the keratin treatment didn't last as long as someone who had darker hair. This version/ technique has you rinse the product out at the end, vs leaving in as with old version, so it's a more pleasant process. My hair is fine, curly, with frizz and especially in the back of my head under the top layers. It's also color treated (blonde), and as getting older I'm getting frizz even on grays that come in near temple. I focus the product on my underneath trouble areas and cowlicks in the back, and am able to get at least two treatments out of the one container. Styling is so fast and easy after using this, takes me a few minutes to blow dry vs the 15 it used to take. I also wait two days at least to shampoo again and only use products that are not just sulfate free but chloride free (not easy to find). In the drug stores and here on Amazon there is Shea Butter restorative moisturizing shampoo, Carol's daughter black vanilla, the Renpure line or Alterna Caviar moisturizing shampoo. And I do not ever use rinse out conditioners with quaternium since that seems to weaken my hair, but I do use the leave in It's the One Keratin leave in type. I think this is a good general plan if your hair is on fine side.
