Review: My cats are healthy and happy 😊 - I did so much research for my new kittens who had just gotten spade and nuetterd at the center so I wanted them to get the best that they can eat to recover and stay healthy and happy. I'm relieved that this food is 92% just beef which is wonderful because cats need meat since they're carnivores. The other 8% is chickpeas, mussels minerals like taurine. The ingedient list is full of beef and only beef which includes the liver, kidneys, tripe, and bone( safely it's been grinded up so they will not choke) so its not like we won't know protein they used per batch. Nope i'll always be certain its beef. It also includes green lip mussels which is fantastic for cats because it provides omega 3s and helps with their joints. Another plus in my book is that all this comes from new Zealand so I'm in 100% trust that the products from ziwi are safe and fresh for my lovely cats. Definitely value for your money you get 6.5 oz which is another half ounce most competitors take away. So the size works even better because if you have 2 cats it's easier to distribute the food in half with just 1 can rather than opening multiple small cans. Even if you just got 1(although they should have a buddy if possible) you just need to open 1 can per day for them since typically it 6oz of food per day per a avg size cat along with their activity lvls. Which brings me to how much more energy my cats have with this meal compared to others. Wow my cats are always ready to play and have an abundance of energy to go on walks and run around. Also i always here other say how much their cats sheds and as long as i have them in this range of diet they dont shed like crazy just normal levels so great nutrition for them means less shedding. I can't thank ziwi enough for having this line 👌🏻 10/10. Review: My cat loves it and it keeps him full. Its also organic. - This was the only brand I found that had a wet and dry beef. The beef seems to keep him full longer. When I first bought the dry food he climbed in the box with it and tried to bite through the bag. I usually mix the wet and the dry or a dry something else with the wet this. It smell good and he likes the taste. It is pricy but I try to catch it on sale and it’s organic so the price fits. Other food he’ll go through two to four cans a day with me feeding him before I go to work and when I get back. With this it is only one can a day with the dry food.

**Q: Is this an outdated label I thought they no longer contained guar gum and sodium tropolyphosphate?**
A: Hi Nicola, yes this is an outdated label and although they no longer add the sodium tropolyphosphate, the NEW formula contains tetrasodium pyrophosphate, which is a toxic chemical that is used as a flavoring , however, this is also used in cleansers and rust removal. I also found it on a hazard list. I even contacted someone at ZiwiPeak and after he looked into it himself, he was baffled as to why it was being used. I just wanted to make other ZiwiPeak consumers aware of this since we think we are paying extra to have the best food for our pets, however, one single ingredient can negate this.

**Q: The label, name and consistency/color of the food changed in March 2017.  Has anyone had issues?**
A: Hi there! Depending on where you buy it, you may be offered the older formula or this new one. The new formula for the rabbit & lamb has chickpeas and my cats LOVE it. The traditional fat-on-the-top is gone but there is a "gravy" like juice which my cats go nuts over. I wasn't excited about chickpeas, but my boys are loving it. We've been using ZP for several years, 1 cat eats primarily this and the other cat will eat it but prefers Dr. Harvey's Oracle- that was until this new formula came, now both boys are going nuts over it! No health issues noted so far. We love ZP!!

**Q: They say no unnecessary carbohydrates but have added chick peas! How healthy is that?**
A: I talked to Ziwi Peak about this because I was also concerned.  It's only a small amount of chick pea to thicken it, it is not being used as a primary protein in the food.  My cat can't tolerate any carbs much, and she is 16 years old and does wonderfully on this brand, especially the chicken.

**Q: How many cans come in this pack?**
A: 3oz cans come in cases of 24. 6oz cans come in cases of 12.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ GAME CHANGER - MY CATS NEVER HAVE BEEN BETTER

I have two senior cats and have been struggling to find the right diet for them - I went to multiple vets and tried canned brands, raw, etc.. I tried ZIWI based on my latest vet's advice and online reviews. It was seriously a game changer: besides the fact that my cats love the taste, they are more energetic, mobile and have the most beautiful fur. That's how I know it's the result of switching to ZIWI: my cats used to suffer from dandruff, no food complements (oil, etc.) would work, and I needed to bath them regularly - since ZIWI, the dandruff is GONE! It may be on the somewhat pricey side, but frankly, it's more than worth it. To manage my budget, I use 1 ZIWI can in the morning that they share, and then at night kibbles 3 days a week and a ZIWI can 4 days a week. It helps me stay within my budget. I used a fun feeder with the kibble so that they eat it slowly and get some playtime. 100% recommended.
