What is the circumference?

My wrist is 8", my palm is 9" - these gloves fit my hand well and would stretch larger and would also fit a smaller hand. I think if you have a very petite hand that might be too large. I am happy with these gloves and wear them most of the time due to arthritis and stiff and swollen joints. Since I use my computer extensively, the finger less option is greatly appreciated.

Are they machine washable?

I haven't washed them yet. They are knit so I don't see a reason for not throwing them in the washing machine.
