LAURA GELLER Baked Double Take Powder Foundation, Matte Finish – Fair

This is my new forever makeup. I had been doing the same foundation/powder combination for the last 6 years. I always want a heavy coverage that will not melt off in the heat or rain. However that all ways came with a cost.. a “ time coat.” My makeup routine use to be so long ( we’re talking like 45 mins just for the base/coverage). Idk what is in this baked formulation, but omg I’m obsessed. Not only is it so easy to apply, and easily shaves a good 20 minutes off my routine, it is DURABLE. 3 talking it feels light but stays on allll day w very minimal change. Like it’s stuck in place, which I love!!

To say I am obsessed with this is an understatement. You know those influencer videos where the girl puts one swipe on her face and goes "WOW!" That was this moment for me. It covered my redness so well, went on smooth, and held up in the NC heat. I was going to try half my face dry and half wet but honestly when I started doing the wet I didn't like it, I preferred it going on dry. It goes on so smooth. It makes doing your makeup so easy!

Y’all. I’m a fair-skinned, middle-aged, post-menopausal woman that is starting to get deeper lines in my face. This is the best makeup I’ve used in years. Awesome coverage, weightless, color match is outstanding. I no longer am having to choose between looking Goth, and looking like I’m a certain orange-faced famous man!

Its nice, but not worth the hype. This is a decent coverage, but the applicator is a rough sponge that like lufas my face. Dont love that. and the coverage is ... meh.

I love Laura Geller makeup. This foundation covers well, goes on smoothly and doesn’t clump.

I am baffled as to how this has so many great reviews. I have used Cover Girl Simply Powder foundation for years and am desperately searching for a replacement since it has been discontinued. I purchased the Laura Geller powder foundation based on the positive reviews. For a powder foundation it is super cakey. The color was off (was way too light) and it basically looked like funeral makeup. Not a great look for a product that is marketed for "mature skin". I don't have deep lines or wrinkles, but I can't image this would be flattering and based on its cakey application it would probably just settle into lines and wrinkles. This was a huge miss for me. I'd avoid it unless you're dressing as a corpse for Halloween.

Greatest foundation ever! I am 61 and never imagined I could wear a powder foundation without it settling into my lines, but it does NOT. It makes my skin look youthful and smooth. This double baked covers the best. I am fair and chose the light shade, porcelain is way too light.

A lot of good and there's a lot of not so good. It does cover. I am 73 and I have brown spots. I can't expect a quick rub to cover them, and I don't, but you have to put on several layers. When you put on several layers you look like something out of a'20s horror flick. It was on so thick that it went into every wrinkle and the lines were more pronounced than I'm used to. I was pleased with the color, please with the coverage basically except for I had to use too much. This would be great for photos because it's so matte and powdery. I have dry skin to start with and this just made it worse. I'm sure it will work for others but it wasn't great for me. I hope nobody got too close to me because it looks like you could take a fingernail and scrape it. I think it was a nice try from Laura to do a full coverage, we needed it because the other stuff is too thin, but now I don't think I will buy it again. As I look in the mirror it is showing wrinkles more than ever instead of just adding color and cover to my skin. By the way I am a print model and not generally filled with wrinkles or terrible skin, so I was hoping this would be the magic I needed. I'm afraid I will have to go back to my liquid that is much smoother and much lighter. I'm disappointed because I really hope this would be my go-to product but as I sit here in the mirror I can see that I look like Norma out of Sunset Boulevard with too much makeup.

Never settles into the fine lines and wrinkles on my middle-aged skin, never clogs my pores and creates a photo finish with great coverage that doesn’t look cakey. It’s a bit pricey but worth it.
