I love almost everything about this toaster. It is so pretty, nice shape, toasts on BOTH sides and has not only levels of color you choose for your toast, but also does muffins, bagels, frozen waffles AND warm cycle when you didn't hear it pop up.

Looks good but not functionally good poor

This toaster goes well in a sixty's style kitchen. But I am not to impressed with its performance. As other people have said it only takes small size slices about 13cm X 10.5cm maximum. Also it is a bit underpowered and takes a longer time than other toasters I have used, and maybe drying out the bread.I use it to toast frozen bread and although the toasting is even, I find one side of the toast is under cooked compared with the other.Make sure you run it a couple of times without bread as it say's, as it gives of a burning smell the first couple of times.I miss the ability to lift the slices without turning off, as on my last toaster, as it takes a longer time you are not sure if it is going to over cook or not.

A wonderful stylish little toaster - has all the features you could want and looks absolutely lovely. I understand Ariete is part of DeLonghi - really solid and well made, so that is no surprise.

Bought 17 months ago, worked fine - but crumbs in tray caught on fire and now it doesn't work. Was expensive, looks nice, not very good at toasting bread - and doesn't work. I do not recommend.
