Decent Camera! (don't have anything to compare it to)
Seems like a great camera so far. At first it would not record anything but 1080/30, but it turns out I just had a fake memory card. So I was extra careful and got a Sandisk "EXTREME" card to make sure I could record 4K, and now the camera has all HD options. The camera works well with a head strap intended for GoPro, so I assume it will fit all GoPro accessories. It works underwater with no issues. I love that it came with all the accessories and case! Here is a little video I made with the GeekPro, filmed at 1080/30 (be sure to turn on HD):Search YouTube: jqccHaGsdn4 "Miami Critical Mass June 24th 2016"... it won't let me post the link.Ignore the moving subtitles, that's my amateur post processing, nothing to do with the camera. I did think the footage looked a little washed out when I filmed at sunset (seen above), but the camera does have exposure and other options, so I think this could be solved. Footage looked fine in bright conditions. Conclusion: I don't have the GoPro to compare it to, but for my non-pro purposes, this camera works great!

Good Video Poor Audio Quality - Some Software Glitches and Accessory Fit Issues
July 16, 2016 IMPORTANT UPDATE:I am pasting this update at the top so that the important development is read before my original remarks below. Today after using the camera for approximately the 3rd time, as I plugged the camera into my pc to upload the video file, I was surprised to find the data disc SUDDENLY FILLED WITH FOLDERS LABELED IN CHINESE CHARACTERS. My video file was nowhere to be found. Both the Photos and Video folders were full of these foreign folders with Chinese characters. I was stunned. Quickly I removed closed the upload window and unplugged the camera. Very interesting after that I could not get my computer to recognize the camera or data card separately. I even attempted the same on my other computer - no recognition. I feel that the company who is selling these cameras was somehow able to load my disc with files of their own choosing - BEWARE!!!!! I pulled the data card and marked it "CORRUPT", repackaged the camera in its original packaging and filled out the Return for Refund option at Amazon. My strong suggestion to buyers - BEWARE of this company.I paid for this camera and am NOT reviewing it because of getting it for free.I will try to touch on some aspects not covered in other reviews:Purpose for Camera: I have a fishing channel on youtube and the camera is for fishing videosPros: The camera seems made well enough and the gear bag and accessories are 2nd to none. Video quality is very good. I intend to use the open clip-on mount for the camera and wear it on the rim of my hat - it will serve my purposes fine. The remote works very well and I plan to make use of it as well.Cons: There are some glitches in the camera click-thru screens. For example I cannot save the correct time and date because none of the operating buttons will get me out of that screen after the changes are made - I have to power the camera completely off to get out of the dead end and thereby losing the saved time and date settings. There are other similar glitches as well. While the remote works very well it would have been better if the maker would have given the remote "hot" keys that power the camera on and off at the same time as starting the video recorder or photo shoot - as it is now you have to manually turn the camera "on" and leave it on, while making video capture come on and off with the remote - the problem with this is it gobbles up precious battery power to leave the camera on all the time so that the remote is useful. They need to change this to a one click operation that powers the camera on and automatically starts video or photo capture and then stops both and powers off at the same time as well. One other glitch is that the open snap-on frame that I intend to use to keep audio quality, does not fit the camera. It is too snug and the camera will not snap into place. I may attempt to post-engineer the open clip-on mount to make it work but this should not be necessary. It is apparent that this maker has so many versions of the camera now that they are trying to use all the same accessories for all the cameras and it does not work anymore. They need to pay some attention to this - it really takes value away from the product when things do not fit and work. You end up with a bag of junk and a camera that you have very few working mounts for. Conclusions: I have many years of experience with video cameras including GoPro, Canon and others. I will need to work with this camera for a few weeks or months before I can know if it is worth the purchase price or not. I did order the battery charger with 2 additional batteries which Im sure will be necessary for my long video shoots on the water. I will update this review when I have good followup information.July 9 Followup:Audio is lacking on this version of the camera. Setup only allows choices 1, 2 or 3 for audio which I presume 3 to be the most sensitive or loudest audio pickup thru the mics - I say mics plural because there are 2 microphones - their diagram designates the top pinholes as a speaker for playback however I tested the camera blocking the side pinholes, designated microphone and then the top pinholes that are supposed to be speakers - both sets of pinholes pick up audio exactly the same so both work at microphones. Even with both working as microphones to pick up sound the camera only picks up sound adequately for very close recording such as inside my truck cab. Even using the open frame that is not water proof, so that the microphone holes are exposed and useful, in open spaces walking along a fishing pier for example - the sound pickup of my voice (wearing camera on rim of hat) and that of people I talking with along the way, were very low volume and muffled - poor audio and this needs improvement if this camera is to compete with others on the market.

Good camera, needs a better battery.
I purchased this camera to attach to my kayak as my wife and I go out on many of Michigan's lakes and rivers. I used it for the first time this weekend. It was easy to setup but the interface was a little confusing. I had a hard time telling if it was recording the entire trip. Once I got back and loaded the card into my computer I pulled the video and it worked great. I need to try using a mobile app to help focus it, I think it was focused on my kayak not in front of me. I tried to take some underwater shots but the water wasn't clear enough, not the cameras fault. My only complaint was the battery life. It died part way back and this was a really short trip compared to what we normally do. I'll look around for higher capacity batteries, and learn to shut it off during boring parts of the trips.

100% Satisfied
I'm new to the action camera game, but I thought I'd try this out after watching many reviews on Youtube and doing Google searches. At 1/4 of the price, it couldn't hurt to try out this camera. If it didn't work, I wasn't out all that much money. So far, I am pleasantly surprised by this camera. I haven't delved in to all the options on this yet, but going in the pool and taking action videos of my kids has worked out well. The videos are crystal clear, and it is very easy to use. With all the added accessories, you will most likely find some mount that will work for you, I'm sure. The only downside is the charging cable that comes with it. It didn't seem to work, so I had to use one of my many charging cables I have at home. Not really a big deal, I'd say. Overall, I am 100% satisfied so far with this camera.

Worth it!
I'm not an Evil-Knievel/base-jumping/skydiving/kite-surfing/ramp-jumping, freakazoid-daredevil so spending $400 on an action camera seemed like overkill. Instead I spent $80 on this one and it was beyond perfect. This is my 1st action camera and I'm sure it does way more than I've used it for. I used it for snorkeling, surfing & hiking and plan on breaking it in more. The entire kit was useful- lots of bells & whistles (no floating rod/ selfie stick). If you plan on mounting it, you need to use your imagination on how you'll do it. I've got parts in this kit I have no idea what to do with but I'm sure eventually, I'll need it.
