Is this for sure usable for carnivorous plants??

Not recommend for carnivorous plants. Water was dirty and tds measured at more than 250 ppm after soaking with distilled water.

Is this good for propagation?

it's perfect for that, it's sterile and retains moisture but is light and airy.

Can I cover floral foam with this for a pampas hanging arrangement?

I don’t think I would try that. It’s very tightly compacted & tends to come apart in small pieces. It is not “sheet” like. You could glue it for an artificial arrangement I suppose

Does this mix contain peat? I’m looking for a peat-free product

all spagnum moss is basically fresh peat moss. what's sold as "peat moss" is this species of moss, but dug up from centuries-old bogs and has turned into coir-like fluff. they are from the same plant but behave very differently. this is light and springy new whole blond fronds, regular peat moss is heavy, powdery, brown and compacted tiny filaments and basically "filler" in soil mixes. coconut coir is a good, sustainable substitute for peat, but there's really nothing like spagnum for plant health.
