Works just as described

I got this to transport the water from the dehumidifier. Right now I've got it going into a 5 gallon water jug. Sometime when I feel ambitious I am going to drill a hole through the cinderblock and brick in the crawl space and have it go directly into the garden. One of these days. But this baby works as described. It doesn't make much noise. When I go out there I never hear it working. I know it's working because that jug gets filled up every couple of days. It's a piece of cake to set up. One thing is that the hose will fit snugly into a 1/2 inch CPVC pipe without any fittings. That's good to know for when I arrange the permanent set up.

4 years and 2 months and still working!!!

The pump housing is well constructed. Everything fit right up to my furnace using the existing drain 1" PVC to the pump and fit snugly. The old pump had a rough opening for the drain from the furnace so it did not seal completely. I would recommend this as a replacement pump if yours failed as mine did.

This product is very simple to use and easy to install, but the water reservoir is somewhat flimsy. I had one just like the new, and after 7 years of in service, the plastic tank cracked and started to leak. But, the crack was easily fixable with epoxy. Other than this issue, the pump is still in working condition. The new replacement pump water tank is the same as old one. I wish it is little thicker and better made. However, I know it will give me another 7 years of service and more. The other best part is that It is less expensive than the other brands.

I've been using one of these year round for about 6 years. I've been switching from heat to AC spring and fall. Finally decided to redo the plumbing so I wouldn't have to move it. I decided instead to put in a second pump and put a Y at the drain end. Now no futzing and I have a spare on hand in case one pump fails in the dead of winter. I never bought the water treatment tablets. I figure it's pumping distilled water. It's been at least 6 years and nothing gummed up so save your money.
