Radon removal/prevention that works
Very impressed with this little product. I had a terrible radon problem in my basement. In one closed off area the radon would build to 40+ pico curries per liter (pcl) in a matter of days. That’s right: 40. I installed a blower in and a blower out in every sector of my 2500 SF basement with 10’ ceilings (8 blowers in all) and the radon levels went from 40 pcl to 2! Not a typo: 2 and within 24 hours. 4 pcl is what is considered allowable/livable full-time. I did this myself with these blowers and 4 pvc pipes running outside the house. It’s actually a very professional looking and quiet (!) installation. And this was after I paid a professional company to come in and install blowers and pvc pipes to draw radon gas from under my basement slab. Their system did not work. Did not work at all. Radon stayed at steady 40 pcl in the worst area. I ripped all of that noisy and ugly mess out after installing my own air exchange system using these blowers. I also have ceiling fans in the basement to keep the air stirred up. I have no restrictions on the air inlets blowing into the basement and then the air blowing out has to overcome the friction/drag of the pvc venting out of the basement. This creates a slight over pressure condition, which, when combined with the ceiling fans, prevents/restricts radon from coming through the concrete floor/walls. The slight over pressure and air exchange system is a simple and elegant solution to a very ugly problem that kept me out of my basement for years. The home-developed system is working much better than I expected. If your conventional radon eradication system is not working or if you haven’t installed one yet, you may want to give this a try. In my case, I had nothing to lose. In the process I regained the use of my basement for a fraction of what the conventional radon installation cost the first time around. I will run these fans full-time to manage and keep the problem under control. It’s been a couple of months now and the reading are consistently right around 2 pcl. This system and these little blowers work.

Easy to install and really works!
I had a high level of radon in the basement, 755 Bq. A friend and I installed the fan, plus 20 ft. of vent pipe from the sump to outside, plus sealed everything off, in 2 hours. I now have a level of 83 Bq! (Safe limit is 200). The fan has been running for a month, no problems. The noise is very faint, just enough to know it’s still working.

Excellent product, note description error
The fan works quite well, but the description is wrong. The fitting are for 4" ABS, NOT PVC. The white color is deceptive. Update: in one of the boxes was instructions and it is Schedule 40 PVC, not DWV. The first one I installed had no instructions. Also the first one leaked air between the fan and the fitting. Silicone seal fixed it, but others should check theirs for air leaks, otherwise you are pumping radon into the house.

Great Product, Don't Waste Your Money on High Priced Systems
I was able to run my radon mitigation almost directly out the side of my house from my sump, this this worked great! Good value, high CFM, and very quiet running. Radon mitigation DOES NOT have to run to your roof, this is simply commercial installers taking advantage of you, and scaring you into spending twice as much as you need to, and putting an extremely ugly pipe on the outside of you house and announcing to the whole word you have a problem with radon. The reality is that the density of the radon once it's dumped into the outside is harmless. The picocuries per liter is a problem because the gas is coming from the ground via your sump into an area of your home that has little to no air movement. In the case of your basement, it's good that your not pushing high densities of radon throughout your home, but don't worry that the radon you immediately eject our of your house is somehow going to miraculously make it back into your house via an upstairs window; the truth is the radon level have just been reduced to beyond low levels as soon as it mixed with the outdoors.

Easy to install
This was installed on a 4" PVC Pipe in my basement on a pipe that is exhausting air to the outside. It is made with a metal frame surrounding a 110V Muffin fan that has what appears to be a 4" PVC Coupler that is cut in half and glued to the metal frame. The fan is riveted to the metal frame through the mounting holes on the 4 corners of the fan. It was very easy to install and seems to blow air fine through the pipe. As it is a regular 110V Muffin fan I think it will operate for a long time with no problems, the only thing I can see that may fail is the glue holding it to the metal frame, time will tell.
