You must read & follow the instructions implicitly or this product will fail on you.
Right then — behold the tale of dental peril, told in the spirit of absurd heroics 🏰🐎 Thursday evening… catastrophe! 🍬 A filling vanishes mid-toffee, as if spirited away by witchcraft. By Friday, the dentist offers no salvation until after the weekend. “Run away!” you might think… But no. Enter DenTek Temparin Max — the last, desperate, slightly ridiculous line of defence 🛡️ And lo — it actually works. For the situation was dire. A rear molar resembling a windswept canyon 🏔️ with nerve exposed and complaining loudly about it. Yet this curious little potion of science and hope plugs the gap and restores order to the realm 🏰 Now listen carefully ⚠️ because this is where many brave souls go wrong: You must follow the instructions. Not “sort of.” Not “that’ll do.” Properly. 📜 And above all — cleanliness 🧼 If you shove it in with bits of food still lurking about, you are not fixing the problem… you are building a tiny, festering medieval swamp inside your tooth 🐌 Do it right, and this becomes your noble defensive manoeuvre ♟️ — a tactical retreat and regroup. The king survives. The kingdom stands ♜👑 Is it permanent? Of course not. That would be silly. But as an emergency fix? It is but a scratch… and then it isn’t. ⚡

Not as good as I thought
OK for a cavity filling, but not for a broken tooth. Great for the cost and looks great in where my filling came out. I also had a capped front tooth ( must be over 20 year old ) broke while eating a biscuit. I did everything as per instruction but after having to try and repair the broken cap/tooth ( cap broke off exposing the tooth) I give up . It just wouldn't adhere to the tooth and cap. Bought repair type, beads you put in hot water to soften and applied worked first time(just buy a packet of the beads and not a repair pack, cost penny's not pounds.

Best I’ve used.
Easy to use, hardens well and doesn’t fall out. Worked really well.

Good, but can be messy to apply and doesn’t last long
I've had to use this a number of times over the summer lockdown for a filling that had come out but of which I couldn't get to a dentist to replace. It works but can be a little messy to apply. It's a sort or putty-like material that comes as a cylindrical unit that has to have the amount needed broken off it. A plastic applicator is supplied to help with this and to push the material into the filling. In theory it's supposed to work, but I found it quicker and better with a knife to cut it and then to use my fingers to push it into the filling. I found I could push it down harder and make it a better fit that way. Often I either had to put more in or had put too much in and have to scrape it off again. It was initially difficult to get right. More often than not some or all of it ended up in the sink. It also often ended up on the outside of the tooth too. Mind, this might just be me and other people may find it easier to apply. Usual application was either last thing at night just before going to bed or when I was sure I wouldn't be eating for a couple of hours to give it plenty of time to harden. As good and as convenient as it was, I noticed it didn't last long and found I was still predominantly chewing on the other side of my mouth, because if not it tended to start coming out in little pieces. I tried both putting it in dry and wet and neither really made much of a difference. I found too that every day, day-and-a-half or two days I was having to replace it. I didn't mind as such as the instructions make it clear that it's only a temporary solution and that a dentist should be sought as soon as possible afterwards, but I found I was either spitting out bits or accidently swallowing them when they came out at odd times during the day or while eating. I don't know what effect this will ultimately have but looking at the composition I would certainly prefer that I wasn't. My total usage of the product was probably over a two month or so period so I've been able to give it a really good try. I suppose for normal use when a dentist can be quickly sought afterwards it's okay and suffices as a temporary repair, but used over the extended period I had to use it for it was becoming a bit of a bind. At least it saved my tooth and I could eat for brief periods on both sides of my mouth if I really wanted to. Also, it was cheaper through Amazon. Please note that it was used on an average-sized filling right in the middle of a tooth with good sides. My verdict is that it's okay but the next time around I'll maybe look for an alternative, but will perhaps still keep some handy for an emergency when travelling.

Good temporary product
Excellent product. Follow the instructions to provide a temporary filling for a tooth. Wont be eating a piece of sourdough toast again as it dislodged a relatively loose filing.

Product recently seems to have changed for the worse
The last two purchases of this product, September and November 2025, have been absolutely useless. The product itself felt different, much harder and less malleable than previously, and it did not bond with the tooth, simply falling out whole within maximum 48 hours, often sooner, despite avoiding chewing on it (this was in the same position where a previous temporary filling made from an older batch of this same product had stayed put for several weeks). Bought this product several times since 2017, just-in-case. When needed it used to work very effectively - once we figured out the best way to use it, last thing at night to allow to set fully. Depending what it was used for it could stay in place for weeks, sometimes longer, and held up to normal eating and vigorous brushing before gradually crumbling away. The putty also remained effective for many months after the little pot was opened. Note: re-purchased in November assuming product bought September was a faulty batch, it hadn't been needed until October as we still had a bit of product left from previous purchase January 2024 which worked as expected. The two recent purchases are from different batches, so perhaps the manufacturer has changed the formula. If so then it's no longer a viable choice.

if you travel a lot you need this
Its one of them things in your traveling fist aid kit, that you hope you never have to use, but when you do your very grateful you have it, very small with no weight to it at all, very easy to use, its very small and take up no room, fits into a zip pocket of a hold suitcase or hand luggage very easy, it will help to stop most issues with your teeth, on holiday, so you can get on with your holiday, until you can find a dentist to fix the issues properly, if you travel a lot you need this, trust me its worth it, and its very cheap.

Good stuff, easy to use.
Second time I've bought it. I have one rear tooth that had a massive filling in it that I've had problems with for years. Typically - I went for an NHS check up, everything was fine apart from the £60 I had to pay to see the hygienist, and then a month later this filling came out! I wasn't going to go back and pay another £60 so soon, so I bought some of this a couple of years back. Although the tubs are tiny I got a years worth of replacement filling out of just one of them. I think the only reason it kept coming out is because I chew my pen on that tooth and the missing filling was so big that even the dentist couldn't fill it properly when I eventually went to see her. (I was also getting through a lot of Pringles so that was a lot of chewing!) The dentist used Ketac which is the proper dentist version of the same thing because there wasn't enough tooth left for a proper filling. That lasted a year and just came out so I've used this again until I can get to see the dentist. It's really easy to use, though I didn't use the little tool that came in the packet, I found it easier to use my finger. I recommend using it after brushing your teeth last thing at night so that it has a good few hours to set properly while you sleep. It sets very quickly but tends to come out if you eat on it too soon.
