Q: How do you adhere this to a wall with 2" x 4" joist that are 16" on center? Is there a nail/staple flange on this?

This product is not is probably not the best insulation for the use that you have described.

Q: Can you use it in an attic between the Rafters to help insulate the roof

It is VERY important to keep a good flow of OUTSIDE AIR against the underside of the roof. If air can travel in through the soffit vents and out the upper vents, it cools the roof in the summer, increasing the life of the roofing. In the winter some heat always escapes the living areas and rises under the roof. If it is carried out through the vents, no problem. Insulation does not destroy heat or cold. It only slows the rate heat travels from one side of the insulation to the other. If warm air is trapped under the roof it will gradually leak through any insulation and heat the roof, melting snow on the roof. The melt water runs down toward the eaves, but there is no heat trapped under the eaves, so the water re-freezes on the cold roof and creates an ice dam. More water runs down and stands on the roofing behind the ice dam. Eventually it will find a way in, soaking walls and ceilings. Applying any insulation that will reduce the airflow under the roof sheathing is a bad thing. Reflective roll foam, like blown-in insulation, is very easy to install, especially in difficult places. Both types will slow heat transfer more than almost anything else with comparable cost and installation time. Unlike blown-in, foil sheet only goes where you put it. Make sure you are putting it where it will accomplish what you want, not cause problems down the road.

Q: Can I use this on the floorboard of a vehicle underneath the carpet?

No, it will be torn apart in no time. Use Butyl rubber membrane squares. Sticky on one side, aluminum on the other.

Q: What is the max rated temperature of this product?

I'm not sure what the max temp is on this product but I'm sure it will be the limitation of the closed cell, polyethylene foam that's in the middle of the foil sandwich. I'm sure the foil is good at 350F or more, but the foam may be limited to something closer to 300F, although that will be below it's ignition point. You might be able to test it with a heat gun like another customer described doing except I would use something like a Wagner digital heat gun so you can predetermine the temperature you're exposing it to and see how it holds up.
