Readywares Firewood Carrier - Camping Waxed Canvas Camping Log Carrier, Tan

I bought this a little over a year ago and when it arrived I was impressed by the quality of the material and workmanship compared to what I'd been purchasing at local hardware stores. The canvas material was much thicker and the workmanship was top-notch. The firewood haulers I've used previously would last 2-3 years then get holes in the material or have the handles rip out. I've used this unit every night last winter and am starting winter #2 with it and it looks brand new with no real wear & tear.At first I was concerned because I normally purchase firewood carriers with ends on them to keep all the dirt and small wood particles from falling out while walking through the house but was surprised when this one did not drop all this loose material in the house (as long as you don't 'fling' it around). The waxed canvas material is course and holds the loose material within, compared to the material in the cheap haulers I've previously purchased from the hardware store.Size is perfect, I can load up enough wood for a normal 3-4 hours of burning/night. For those nights when I'm doing extra long burns of 4-6 hours it takes two loads... however, when I need enough wood for the long 4-6 hour burns I'd do two loads regardless due to the weight of the wood.I've only had it one year, but from current wear & tear (after a year's hard use) I would estimate I'll be using this for another 10 years (or more). Please note that I rarely take time to write a review, but this product, for the price, has greatly impressed me. Looks great, works well, and the workmanship is superior.

The waxed canvas firewood carrier is excellent for carrying red oak firewood into the house. It is nicely constructed with durable materials, and it folds up nicely when not in use.

This log tote will be around a long long time. It's not excessively heavy but is well sewn heavy waxed canvas. All edges are covered and stitched. Leather on handle straps is a nice touch.93 yr old Pop says it's great. No more messing up his shirts with armloads of firewood!

Sometimes it's hard to find Christmas gifts that will surprise my husband but be useful to him - something he didn't know he needed. This one was a hit! He told me he likes it so much he wants a second one. It's a big help in carrying a load of wood in for our woodstove. He said the amount it carries is just right, and he didn't have any issues with the strap. He also likes that you can set the thing down and it helps contain the mess of wood debris instead of plopping an armful of wood directly on your floor.

After 6 seasons hauling more than 18 cords of fir and oak from the wood shed to the house, my wife has insisted I replace our Readywares firewood carrier. Not because it's completely worn out (I could use it at least another year),but because she is embarrassed for company to see it when I come in with another load of wood. That's a shame...I think it looks well-seasoned. Anyway, I'm ordering a new one today, and I happily recommend you do the same. You won't find a better quality product.

Well made. I like that the carry straps are sewn around the whole bag. Less likely that they will fail. Big enough to carry large amount or less if needed.

After two years of use this carrier has aged beautifully. It gets primarily stored in a shed and gets used well. It carries a decent amount of wood while still being comfortable to carry. The canvas is nicely waxed and the thickness is good. You can feel the quality when you touch it.

This is a fantastic piece of kit for anyone looking to carry logs, it’s sturdy well made robust and easily carries 15kg. Delivery was also fantastic it arrived 7 calendar days from the USA before it was supposed to, it literally took 3days with international shipping!

Duh! What do l use it for, you ask? I use it for CARRYING FIREWOOD. Since it is sold as a firewood carrying device, one would think that even the slowest thinker in town would know what it is for....I say that it excels as a carrier of firewood. I had got another one as a gift at Christmas, from a well known and respected dealer in tools and almost anything you didn't realise you needed until seen in one of the company's stores, found Canada-wide, from sea to shining sea. It was complete rubbish: a naughty piece of firewood had torn a hole in the simulated canvas within a fortnight's light use, so l returned it and thanked the people for the kind offer of a replacement, but no thanks. Then I set out on what could have been a time-wasting gamble, searching the aether via the internet, for a firewood carrier. There are many out there, but l found this one after a short search and have not regretted for one moment having bought it. It would not surprise me if it is still up to the job when I am past it. If you need a firewood carrier, or would just like to have one to add that je ne sais quoi to the tone, or should l say "ambiance" of the hearth and home, get one of THESE firewood carriers now. It will do both jobs equally well.

Used for carrying firewood. Alot of firewood. No strain on the seams. Nice waxed fabric. Quality item all around.

Good size - better than others. Heavy material = sturdy. Nice color looks good hanging near the fireplace.
