None of the ingredients are Gluten - although it doesn't state gluten-free. **Q: Does it have a fragrance, or is it fragrance-free?** A: In the container it has a very slight fragrance, but you have to put your nose into the jar to smell it. I’m in my early 50s with combination skin that is prone to congestion around my t zone. I do a lot of other things for my skin & it’s in surprisingly good shape for my age, but it can be really difficult to get the balance right with wrinkle reduction/prevention and trying to keep my pores clear. I have been using this every night on top of Paula’s choice 2% AHA (which is applied in the t zone only) &, even though this cell food gel does not appear to be particularly moisturizing when it first goes on, I wake up with extremely happy, hydrated skin. It also seems to be the only thing I have used that makes a significant difference on my mild crows feet, forehead and frown lines - also feels better under my eyes, then an eye cream and seems to do the same job if not better which is pretty impressive in a week. My only complaint, which is barely a complaint, is that it creates a light film over the face that often winds up peeling. It doesn’t bother me at all for overnight use, but I feel like this makes it inappropriate for wearing it in the day or under make up. Still, it doesn’t really matter as like have other stuff for that and find it very easy to just use at night. So, just be aware that the consistency is very much a gel and not a cream. Of course, I would like everything to be extremely inexpensive, but in the realm of getting what you pay for, this is a really good deal as compared to other products. If you found something that did everything that this does, I think you would generally be paying much much more for it. It also seems to be extremely useful for spot treating the odd skin ailment, like bug bites or other irritations. I highly recommend giving it a try.
