**Q: How does this carry 5,000 gallons of water?**
A: The system holds roughly 5 gallons of water when full but will process up to 5,283 gallons through the Ultrafiltration membrane - or - by filling and purifying the water put in a full jerrycan 1,056 times. Hope that clarifies the question a little better.

**Q: Where is this product made?**
A: Made in the UK.  Not good with there customer service at all. Had to send who.e unit back for a refund then start all over with the same issue. The air pump silicon seal area is scrubbed so it never seals and leaks water and or air depending on water Level.  Other than that it is pretty solid.

**Q: Manual says during storage, keep at least 2 inches of water inside. So before first use, do I have to fill some water for storage purposes?**
A: The manual's 2 inch water advisory is for AFTER the first use so as to keep the filter from drying out.  If you've never used the can or prefer to store it away prior to the first use, then a low level of water is unnecessary since it has not yet been exposed to water.

A: I far as I know they are options. What I would recommend, which I have ready for mine, is go to the nearest big box hardware store and get a inline carbon filter for your ice machine, about $15.00, and attach it to the spout on the jerry can with potable hose. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great idea with a few limitations

It works great, but has some limitations to be aware of.1. You should store the jerrycan sideways with the water spigot pointed down, so that you can get more water out with less pressure2. You always need to keep a reserve amount of water to keep the filter submerged so it doesn't grow mold. The jerrycan says to leave "two inches" which is great in theory, but in practice you have to guess because there's no way to tell the water level. (This is another reason to keep it stored sideways.)3. I really had to hunt around to find the replacement carbon filters, they weren't sold on Amazon last I checked.4. Refilling the jerrycan requires removing the hand pump. The issue is that you have to carefully balance it on a flat surface so it doesn't get dirty or contaminated.

I bought this for camping. It is a nice replacement to my military can. Having something that can purify the water makes the trips easier. No Longer worried or having to carry a bunch of water jugs or bottles. Solid construction, easy to use and operate.
