The best way to fix a stuffed animal PERIOD!!!!
Not long ago, I put my small stuffed elephant in the wash with a large blanket. When I removed it from the dryer along with the blanket, I noticed a small tear on its right ear. At first I would attempt to learn how to sew and fix its ear manually, but since I bought it used about a year ago, I wasn’t sure how long the repair would last. Then I remembered seeing Bish’s Tear Mender on a tv shopping channel a few years back and I figured that I would give it a shot. Granted I considered other fabric glues based on product reviews here on Amazon and YouTube reviews but with this product being around almost for 100 years, I figured this would be the best glue for the job. Once I received it, I put a small amount of the tear mender in a small disposable plastic bathroom cup and used a toothpick and a QTip to fix the tear on my elly’s right ear. Overall the product was easy to use and it held strong even 24 hours after initial application. It had a slight smell but not too bad as to open up a window. So about three weeks in, I decided to give my friend another washing. As you can see by the pictures, the tear mender still holds strong even after being put in the washer and dryer on warm and cold water and medium heat to dry. Overall the functionality of this product and the overall hold made it a real winner in my book. Thus if you are looking for a good way to fix your little one’s favorite stuffed toy without using a needle and thread, I highly recommend Tear Mender. It is the best way to fix a stuffed animal and any tears in fabric PERIOD!!!! It definitely does what it says on the bottle!!!!

It works - solid choice
works well - meets expectations. I repaired a belt loop on a pair of jeans, and straps on ice hockey shoulder pads and shin guards. Easy to apply and clean, dries relatively quickly

C8 Corvette leather dashboard fix
I purchased this to fix a bubbling leather dashboard problem on my C8 Corvette. Just used it, so far it seems to be working well, holding the leather down. Hopefully the glue will hold the leather down to the dashboard permanently.

Good product when it isn’t dried up
This company needs to work on sealing their products better. I have ordered recently and gotten 2 that were not sealed well and all dried out. It is very disappointing when you open a brand new bottle and it’s dried out. When it is liquid and not a rubbery solid then it will pretty much permanently keep your jean patches together. It doesn’t look the nicest when it’s dried but it gets the job done and keeps my construction working husband from having to buy new jeans all of the time (when the ones he had might be fine just had a hole in an odd or uncomfortable spot).

Durable, Excellent for use on Polyurethane Foam
I make fursuits (mascot costumes) and cosplay and this stuff is my go-to for a longterm, sturdy hold on Polyurethane foam! Easy to apply, sets pretty quickly, and creates a bond so strong, it'll rip the foam before it rips the glue. It also leaves the glued area a little flexible, making for a clean edge. Texture: Very runny, thin, and wet when it comes out. It can get messy; Be careful not to get it on your clothes cuz it aint coming out. MakeSURE you close it as soon as you apply it, cuz it WILL dry out and gunk up the ip. That said, it's very easy to clean the nozzle and get it off your hands. It dries rubbery, quite quicky and you can roll it up, pinch it, or rub it right off. TIP: When applying to polyurethane foam, run a line along both sides you want to adhere. Lightly dab them together just to spread the glue around the surface (Cuz it will absorb quickly if you don't). Let it air dry for 5-8 seconds, then hold your two pieces together with MEDIUM firmness. Too hard, and you'll flatten out your foam, and it'll look pinched and weird. You'll know you're pressing too hard if you can feel the wetness of the glue seep through the foam to your fingers. If you've done this, just pick at the foam to reshape it before it dries. Quickly. Just press the two edges together enough that theyre clearly making contact. Hold it together for about 15 seconds, depending on how saturated your surfaces are. A LITTLE BIT GOES A LONG WAY. You do NOT have to drench your foam. Too wet, and it'll adhere weirdly, and you'll lose the softness of your surface. If you dont press hard enough, the glued sides won't adhere. Test it first, get used to how runny it is, keep track of your cap, make sure youre not etting it gunk up.If so, use a tooth pick to pick out the dried rubbery globs.

Works Great!
Works great. I have used it for holes in jeans in the knees for by sons when it is just starting and it has held up great even after a few washes.

Good for some things, tricky to use, easy to screw up
I don't know why others say this dries clear or is tan/brown. My bottle dries white. If the patch is to be purely functional and you don't care how it looks, this works well. If you are applying something to the surface (a badge, etc.) this would work if one is very careful -- see below. But if it is for an item that you care about, extreme care must be taken when using this to make sure that, when finished, not a single tiny drop is visible on the outside of the garment, or you will have a white splotch. If the fabric is at all open weave -- even a normal cotton -- you have to be really careful and only use a tiny amount or it will bleed through. If the fabric is at all sheer, this doesn't work at all. I have found no way to remove excess from fabric once it touches, even if I try to remove it immediately. The product is very thin and liquid, so the squeeze bottle top is useless; you just can't control it enough. I pour some out and use a toothpick to apply to the fabric. Again, use absolutely the smallest amount and thinnest layer you can, or you risk having it bleed through. If you get bleed through or have any excess showing, I have not found any way to remove it from the fabric. A lot of my clothes are black, and I have done some adequate touch up with a Industrial Sharpie (which is different from a regular Sharpie) but it would be hopeless with any other color cloth. I would never use this for anything that could be done with a needle and thread (hems, etc) simply because there is too much risk of bleeding through. However, there are those things (tears, etc) where this is the best option, but be very careful. Despite the apparent per oz. cost saving of the larger bottle, it probably isn't worth purchasing. You only use a tiny amount per repair. The container says it is best to use within a year of purchase, and when I recently opened the container, which I have had less than a year, there was a blob of solid latex filling the top half of the container. I did pull it out, and there was liquid below, which I used, but I don't yet know if that remaining liquid was viable. It seems to have held, but it's been too soon to tell if it will last. And, when pulling out the congealed latex, it really made a mess, so if I ever try that again I will do it at the bottom of a deep sink or bucket.
