Lip care products containing sunscreen (SPF) should be discarded after a year. More specific to CO Bigelow Mentha Lip Shine #502-this product does not contain sunscreen. I am actually unsure of the exact expiration time on this product. I put in a call to C.O. Bigelow to ask what the company advises. I will e-mail you when I have the proper information.
