APEC ultimate high capacity pre-filter set is made in USA with high quality filtration components to provide a longer lasting filter set to protect and prolong the lifespan of your reverse osmosis system. Premium quality filter set lasts over 12 months for fewer filter change outs and high performance impurity removal. These standard size filters are 10 inch and compatible with all standard size under counter ro systems. 1St stage: high-grade 10 inch high-capacity polypropylene sediment filter -removes dirt, particles, and rust. 100% pure polypropylene depth filter with exceptional dirt-holding capacity translates to longer life and fewer change-outs than existing string-wound or resin-bonded filters. 2Nd and 3RD stage: premium extruded carbon block 10 inch -gets rid of unpleasant chlorine, tastes, odors, cloudiness and colors. Also removes VOC and other common harmful impurities from the water. Apec's extruded carbon block filters consist of activated carbon particles fused into a uniform block with enhanced adsorptive capacity and efficiency. Unlike granular activated carbon (GAC) filters, these extruded carbon block cartridges will not channel or bypass due to the extreme uniformity of their extruded activated carbon core. **Q: when is time to replace filters, do I have to replace o-rings too??**
A: Hello, the Ultimate FILTER-SET are typically replaced about once a year depending on water quality and usage going through the filters. The O-rings are typically replaced about every 3 years, but it is always good to have them on hand as backups just in case. **Q: does this item come with the replacement O-rings too?**
A: The FILTER-SET only includes the replacement filters, it does not include the replacement O-rings.

**Q: will this fit ROES-50 ?**
A: They will fit the ROES-50 and most of the systems that uses industry standard size.

**Q: Will these filter out Cryptosporidia?**
A: Cryptosporidia are 3 t0 4 microns in diameter.  Reverse osmosis filtration membranes have pore sizes around 0.0001 microns.  Work it out for yourself.

Been using these MADE IN USA from Apec filters for many years. I use them for an old reverse osmosis unit that I removed the top membrane filter. These three filters work perfectly to make the Las Vegas water more pleasant to drink from my fridge water dispenser. I have a bypass installed so I don't need to buy those expensive fridge filters that don't do much to improve the taste of the water and ice.
