Edit: 6 Feb 21 I received these headphones the first week of March, 2019, almost 2 years ago and couldn't be happier with the purchase. At just under 2 years of use, they still work perfectly which, in my mind, is crazy, especially considering the plastic coating on the wires has started to crack like crazy the past few months. I'll try and add an image to show you what I mean. I use these headphones every single night and honestly didn't expect them to last 6 months because of the wires inside. I mean, I've never owned a pair of wired headphones that didn't start crackling after a couple of months, and stop working completely within 6 months, and that's without sleeping on them all night, every night. And to be clear, these are "wireless", but that only applies to how they connect to your source of entertainment. They still have wires inside that connect the individual earphones with the power source/electronics. I came in to write this review because just recently the headband has started to loosen up a bit, moving around on my head while I sleep so I decided to replace them before the wires completely break through and I'm left without until new ones arrive. I drive tow truck and already have a hard time sleeping, so getting up in the middle of the night and losing sleep is already a problem. Not being able to get back to sleep because of all the little noises (or the not so little noises coming from my right side) would become dangerous as my risk of falling asleep at the wheel would dramatically increase. Anyway, I'm ordering a replacement set before these die and will keep these as backup. An additional note is that I've since found out that you need to wash the headband to help prevent stretching, which I've never done. I know that probably sounds gross, but the headband isn't greasy or obviously dirty so I never really got around to it. I'm pointing that out to show that one of the 2 "problems" I have now could probably have been eliminated by washing them occasionally, but either way I don't care... 2 years of use for $99 of every single day use and good night's of sleep is well with it. And the second "problem" isn't actually a problem yet, because they still work perfectly. And to be honest, 6 months at that price would be worth it to me. Not sure why some people complain about them not lasting a year. Seriously, how many headphones have you had where the wires last that long with 8 hrs of use every single day, where you also lay on the wires all night long? None. At least for me, the answer is none. And one last thing- the battery still late so night long. So far, no noticeable loss in time. I'd say easily 9 or 10 hours of use can be had. Original review- I'm a light sleeper so these are very handy for providing quiet background noise to drown out TV, neighbors and snoring. I'm not naming names or anything, but let's just say these have helped me get much needed sleep. Especially as I work on call at night and can get up multiple times in a night if things are crazy. This is pretty comfortable and the battery definitely lasts all night.

First things first, I've been meaning to get myself these headphones for a long time now. I like to listen to podcasts (shoutout to Sleep With Me) while I sleep and have an issue with using regular headphones or earbuds. I'm a side-sleeper and would have to place my head down perfectly to not be uncomfortable, but once I moved again in my sleep the headphone either pops out (waking me up) or gets jammed farther in (which doesn't wake me up, but hurts a whole lot the next day). Not to mention that anything wired lead to waking up literally tangled in a cord. The worst of it is when my phone would fall off the bed and violently tug on my ears. Not fun. I haven't had a chance to give them a real trial, but I just threw them on at work and they're extremely comfortable. I threw on a podcast to hear if it would sound like garbage (which I expected), but they actually sound pretty fantastic. I've used cheap ear buds at significantly lower sound quality without issue, so unless you want to pick up the highs and lows in a complicated piece while you're dead asleep, anyone complaining about it is just asking for too much. I went for the large size because I have a comically large head. I was nervous that they wouldn't fit, but they fit perfectly. That being said, any larger would be just big enough that they were loose. I would refrain from the large size unless you have an obviously large head. I mean "obviously large" as in, you don't try on hats unless you're trying to make someone laugh at how futile wearing any regular hat is for you. Seriously. The large is pretty damn large. As for the issues with charging (or getting the module out or whatever?) is user error. The instructions couldn't be any clearer, and you really shouldn't need them unless you haven't touched more than a Nikon flip phone in the last 10 years. Anyone who struggles to figure that out are simply technologically illiterate and no amount of design or instruction will help them. It's stupid-easy to do. Pairing worked quickly and the sound prompts are intuitive. The buttons are a bit odd, but they're being pressed behind your head through fabric. It won't be an issue for me since I'll only use them to throw on an episode of SWM and put my phone aside. I can see that the wires are cheap. I imagine it's for the sake of making them tough to notice rather than as a way to save money. I plan on reinforcing the connections a bit to get as much use as I can out of them. I bet you if they used stronger wires that the current negative reviews would be complaining about feeling them while laying down. I'm happy so far, and will return after getting some use out of them. I've left everything at 5 stars because I don't believe in punishing a vendor for a preliminary review, so I will be sure to explain why they either remain at 5 stars or why they're being docked in a few weeks time.

My wife and I have had our headphones for about a year. They are well made, comfortable to wear sleeping, and the sound quality is pretty good. These three traits are important to me for this type of product. Other sleep bands have missed the mark on one of these three items. The only downside is they are a little finicky to get the power pod in and out to charge, but once you learn how, it's not too bad. The real kicker for me and the reason I am writing this review is that we recently went on a 4 day car trip and I took my sleep band along. By the time we got back all the clothes in my bag were dirty and I accidentally scooped up my sleep band with my clothes and put it all thru a wash and hot dry cycle. When the laundry was complete and I discovered my error I was sure the band was toast, and I was ready to order another. But then my wife tried the power button and it powered up and functioned normally. I am shocked that this band withstood that kind of abuse and is still functioning. Highly recommended!

First, I hope the bad reviews about it breaking after a year don't happen to me. Only owned it for a month so still jury still out on the longevity. (It broke 7 months after buying) Other than that as others have mentioned, I am addicted to this. Have slept with it on every night so far. Using it with binaural beats from Dr. Jeffery Thompson. Bought this because the only way to get the benefit of binaural beats is through headphones. Have been getting really good sleep since started using these headphones with binaural beats. Also certainly falling asleep faster to start with and even back to sleep after waking up during the night. Have had a couple problems and they both ended up being the phone. 1) Thought the headphones wiring was cutting out. But ended up being the older DroidX phones bluetooth was using. Tested this by connecting it to my new phone and problem went away. 2) Music would stop and if started again would cut off again. Not sure on this one totally yet, only happened once and think it has to do with a glitch in the Android Digital Well Being App on the new phone. ** Update: Battery died after 7 months. Wrote them, but haven't replied. ***Update 2: Researched the module they use and did some testing. The battery is still good and found a replacement battery that tried. The unit won't charge the battery. The batteries are good and they module has the voltage it just isn't charging it. So what it does after the original battery wouldn't charge, the new battery is still 3.4VDC and the unit will only come on and connect and work for about 2 minutes then quit. You can rinse and repeat that. The module has gone bad, it has an integrated battery charger on the BTM-630. So it was the modules that went bad after 7 months and not the battery. Lowering to 1 star, because for the average consumer it would look like the battery went dead.

This review is specifically about the wireless Bluetooth version of the SleepPhones product. I do not want the wired version and have never used the wired version. This is an excellent idea but poorly implemented so far. I gave it two stars mostly because of its potential rather than its current implementation. Mine lasted about 2-3 weeks after I got it before the left channel died intermittently. I've sent it back and am getting a replacement. Hopefully it will be better. Someone else mentioned that it felt like a prototype and I'll have to agree. A good design engineer could make major improvements in this product. Once you adjust the placement of the speakers over each ear, there is no way to keep them in their place. They do shift around a bit, which ultimately defeats their purpose. When I received the product, it was not ready to use. The internal wiring was all wound around the transmitter / controller and stuck in the Velcro. And it would have been impossible to charge it without removing some of the parts from the headband and replacing them in a proper way. There were no instructions to do this and I invested more than an hour carefully disassembling it and rebuilding it before I could charge it and subsequently use it. Recharging is a also a bit of a pain as you need to partially disassemble it to get to the recharging port every time you need to recharge it. The detailed documentation that came with the product is in 10 different languages with all 10 languages displayed at each step. Frankly I find this adds confusion rather than helping the user. I suggest they print with one language for the market they are selling into. They could then provide 10 online versions; one for each of the other languages for their audience. This wireless product is about $100 and is generally available for immediate shipment here in the US. Yet there are a few competing products that are also wireless but their price tends to be in the $20 to $30 range and generally take several weeks to ship. So given the current quality of this product it is way overpriced even though it is more readily available. On a positive side, once I worked through these initial issues, I found it very helpful until that left channel started dying. Because I did find some value in it, that is why I'm going to try again with a replacement product. So I have a challenge for AcousticSheep -- Create a quality product and offer it at a competitive price. And I have a challenge for the competitors of AcousticSheep -- You have an opportunity to gain significant market share if you will create and provide a quality product at a competitive price and make it available in the US for immediate shipment.

Excellent! I am not sure what these other negative reviews are about but these SleepPhones work great. They are very easy, like 20 seconds, to setup. They immediately paired with my Galaxy S3, I put them on and away I went listening to sleep audio with NO cords. I have the wired version and this wireless version is much better as I am not always wrestling with the wire, which when turning over is a PITA, but no more with these. Sound quality is no different than wired for the sleep audio I listen to. The review that says "the battery digs into the back of my neck when laying down on my back" is user error. You don't put the small USB/battery in the back you put it in the front so it is over your forehead. Unless you sleep with your face in the pillow you never feel it. Also, the other reviews saying inner phones and USB/battery move around a lot are a bit off as well. They move around maybe a little, but it is easy to adjust and for the most part it wasn't an issue for me. Just make sure you use the unit how it is intended with the USB/battery on the front. In fact, based on the reviews I was surprised to see that this really wasn't an issue for me. One review slammed the instructions and they are right, they are not very good, however you really don't need instructions. Just look at the pictures and use your brain for a second and they make sense. Anyway, I think they are great. One improvement would be a battery charging slit in the front of the headband so you don't have to pull the USB/battery out to charge it. That actually would be a nice convenience and ease of use feature.

Update 12-1-2014 Based on AcousticSheep's comment to my original review I gave them another shot. This time AccousticSheep was the seller. I've been using them now a month and it's time for an update. As before first the good news. The battery issues seem to be resolved. The battery seems to last 7.5-8 hours now. Hurray!! That goes a long way to addressing my deal breaker concerns from last time. But there is still bad news. The speakers still move around inside the band. A lot. Tightening the bad up doesn't help. They still move a ton. On the up side you do get sorta use to pushing them back into position while your half awake. They have added a velcro strip to the battery and speaker wire access. The edges of this are stiff and sharp. So, it's still a problem (and now a painful one) rooting around inside the band to get at the battery pack to charge it. Last but not least these absolutely announce that they are shutting down when they run out of battery power. Loudly! If you read the AcousticSheep comment below they say this is not the case. The upside is the battery last much longer now. You will have to charge these daily. If you forget you will be woken by them telling you that they are shutting down. Bottom line I added a star to my review and I am keeping them. I use them daily and intend to keep using them. The headphones are not perfect annoyingly so. But they are useful to me. Original Review: I had high hopes for this product. First the good news. I ordered the XL version of this for my big noggin. I wear a 7-7/8 hat size so I expected to be disappointed. Remarkably it fit very well and was comfortable! Noteworthy but not deal breakers: 1) The battery pack and wire access is difficult. I have big hands to go with my big head. I can get a finger in there to root around for stuff but it's not easy. 2) The speakers in this move around. Sometimes they move around a lot. If you sleep fairly still I doubt you would have a problem. I don't sleep still, I roll over frequently. That's why I wanted the Bluetooth version. If your like me at least one speaker will be off your ear by morning. But alas, you will not make it to morning...... Here is the deal breaker, the battery only lasts about 4 hours. Sometimes less. That in and of itself might not be the end of the world for you, but it announces quite loudly that it is shutting down. I can't sleep through that announcement. I'm guessing you won't either. But wait it gets worse! If you use the AcousticSheep App when the Bluetooth connection gets severed to your, in my case Apple, device the app keeps playing through the device speakers! At whatever volume the device was last set for. So, now not only are you awake, everybody in the room with you is awake! The bottom line is this product made the nights I used it worse for sleeping.

I feel obligated to post a review for these given I nearly was swayed from buying them due to some reviews. Let's preface this quickly: I absolutely love these things and as far as I'm concerned they were worth the money even though they were a bit of a steep expense. Firstly, I saw people complaining about how the battery is difficult to access. I'm a bit confused by this. Only someone from an infomercial would struggle to extract the battery from these unless you really managed to jam it clear up into the band where it, frankly, should not be. The pack is right at the velcro opening. It is easy to insert and remove. It also charges quickly and is extraordinarily easy to pair with your bluetooth headset. If you plug your phone into say your car sound system, when you remove it your SleepPhones will immediately reconnect if they are still on. Secondly, the battery life. I turn these on in the morning before I leave for work and leave them on through my eight hour work day, so they are on and running for about nine hours. I've yet have the battery die on me in that time. I imagine the volume you have them at judges how long your battery will last, my volume is typically at half. I saw many people saying these will only last six hours but that is definitely not the case if you keep the volume at a moderate level. Thirdly, sound quality. So much better than I expected. Before I purchased these I wore a set of Philips Fidelo on ears at my job which have outstanding sound and was pleasantly surprised by these SleepPhones; despite the speakers being so small the sound is excellent and clear. I saw complaints about them not being loud enough but I have never needed to have them at maximum volume... they do in fact get quite loud. I use these both to sleep and to my job where we are not supposed to be wearing headphones at all. I work in a very noisy backroom and am one of the three people out of 30+ that actually has to use some amount of concentration to get my job done. If you need some comfy, undercover headphones, I highly recommend these. I have been wearing on ear headphones for years that make my helix and conch piercings hurt from the constant pressure, if you have lots of ear piercings and are looking for a comfy headset, I highly recommend these! And of course, they are surprisingly nice to sleep in. If you listen to ASMR videos these will change the way you enjoy ASMR videos forever. I travel internationally often and I imagine these will be excellent on an intl flight, much more comfortable than on ear headphones or earbuds for 12 hours. The one and only downside to these is that they do move around if you are moving around, but they are easy to adjust regardless. Like I said before, 100$ is a fairly steep price but depending on what you need/want these for, they are worth the price. Thanks AcousticSheep! UPDATE: I've owned these for coming up on two years now, I use them 4~5 days a week for up to 9hrs a day. The battery life has not decreased. The wires are perfectly fine. The sound quality has not diminished. You can remove the entire battery pack and headphones and toss the band in the wash with your laundry. The only thing that would make this product better would be some non-slip silicone. Even without that, I'm more than happy with this purchase and I'd happily buy again.

My husband listens constantly to a radio (awake and in bed - I must be really boring!) anyway I have bought him various radios over the years and lots of different types of headphones. At night he has tried different types of headphones including those that purport to be cordless but has always deferred to his original large cordless "Cans" which are cumbersome and prevent him from sleeping in any other position than his back (and then, of course, he snores) When I saw these I thought they were the answer so bought them for him for Christmas. He loves them they are fantastic and work really well and they are wonderfully comfortable. The only problem is that his main (bedside) radio on which he is able to record programmes he misses during the day while at work does not have blue tooth so he can't use his new headphones with this. Fortunately he also got a kindle for Christmas so he can use the headphones with this and next Christmas he will be getting a recordable radio so he can use the SleepPhones happily ever after.

I did not really hold our much hope for this item but gave it a go. It's brilliant, it's comfy, it ranges from quiet to loud, it's decent sound quality and for some reason I seem to nod of quicker while wearing it. Charging is a pain, you need to extract the Bluetooth receiver from the pouch to plug it in, but apart from that the item so far has proven to be worth the money. I do have some concern over how long the Bluetooth receiver will last battery wise but the vendor will sell replacements and you can order 3rd party ones easy enough for a few quid.

So gut wie ich die Idee finde so etwas mit Bluetooth -Ausstattung anzubieten; leider muss hier noch erheblich nachgebessert werden. Die Verbindung zum Sender bricht häufig ab - selbst wenn ich den Sender neben den Kopf lege! - und die Lagerung der Kopfhörer ist nicht optimal. Diese verrutschen häufig, insbesondere beim Laden des Akkus. Auch nicht von Vorteil ist die deutliche Ansage das der Akku leer ist wenn man gerade die Tiefschlafphase erreicht hat. Mit dieser Meldung schaltet das Gerät dann ab. Sehr ärgerlich! Was soll ich dann tun?? Aufstehen um nachzuladen und solange warten? Wer kommt auf so einen Blödsinn?

Ricevuto ieri puntuale. Appena ricevuto , dopo aver visto il video esplicativo, masso in carica per due ore e la prova di connessione è riuscita; ma già la sera, per utilizzarlo a letto, non si connetteva più!!! Tentato in tutti i modi ma nè l'iPhone, nè computer lo vedono tra i dispositivi! Ho pensato fosse la carica, ma anche dopo averlo rimesso in carica, la luce rossa di carica si è spenta dopo poco ( la luce verde anche tenendolo in carica tutta la notte non si è mai accesa) e la mattina successiva ancora dà lo stesso problema di connessione!! Inutilizzabile!!! Ora posso solo provare a mandarlo indietro! Una stella con la speranza che sia solo difettoso e me lo sostituiscano o rimborsino!
