They're thicker than you might expect but not too much. Works great leather and elastic both seem quality.

I'm a hairy bear bottom. On my bottom I like to wear heavy duty leather breeches. To hold them up, when they aren't down, these do the trick nicely! Thank you Amazon!But seriously, so far so good. And arrived quickly as promised.

These braces are without doubt the very best available from the point of view of strength and durability. They are strong enough for every working environment and simple in design -- hence ideal all round for wear with more formal clothing . For decorative excellence you would probably choose Albert Thurston -- but then you would pay a much higher price . Value for money ? -- nothing even approaches Welch Working Braces . Regarding delivery --- either a dream -- first two pairs -- via Royal Mail and An Post -- excellent -- arrived on time --- OR -- a nightmare -- as in the case of the third pair . Sent by courier -- no phone call this time -- other times the driver asks me to meet him 3 miles away in the village -at 9 P.M. --then keeps me waiting 45 minutes in a deserted car park .Package left at the garage with no permission from me or the owner --- then collected by someone who recognised my name as a friend of a friend on Facebook . Message to me stored by Facebook under "other " messages for some days . Eventually I read the message quite by chance and met up in village 3 miles away after calling at his place of work 3 times when he was not around . During this saga -- Amazon refunded my money to compensate for all the hassle --- but -- it would be so much easier if Amazon would introduce the choice of courier as an option -- even if it cost a few euro more . Whenever I order things from small traders -- when asked they usually comply rather than lose an order . Amazon customer support frequently state that one day "soon " that choice will become available to customers - that has been "coming soon " for the last 5 years .
