Just checked solgar website , gelatin used is from pork origin as most of gelatin manufacturing companies , if halal it will be mentioned on the left side of the bottle , they have halal items which is clearly mentioned , so kindly check first before buying any gelatin containing medecine

This vitamin D3 is expiring in 09/2023 so don’t buy because it’s 10,000 units and there is no way it can be used (received on 07/04)!

Edit: the review below is supposed to be for solar gentle iron. Not the vitamin d. I have been taking this vitamin d for a long time now. I can’t speak to the results. Just know I was deficient and this was cheaper than the prescription my doctor ordered. Review for solgar gentle iron: For years I dealt with episodes of crippling pain in my legs, hips, knees, etc. the kind of pain that felt like my bones were being crushed and brought me to tears. Doctors would just chalk it up to being part of an auto immune condition. Finally, i went to see a naturopath, and she suggested to increase my iron. I have no idea how or why it works but it does. When ever the pain starts I quickly take a couple of these (or a few depending on severity) and within an hour or so the pain has greatly diminished!! I can't believe all the years I suffered. I'm not claiming it's a pain reliever, just something about low iron that causes pain; could be a circulation thing, or red blood count thing. I don't know, but if you need iron, these pills are effective, and without any side effects. As far as constipation, I can't speak to that because I take this amazing supplement every night called CKLS that remedies any constipation concerns.

I know I certainly did. Being a student, I spend most of my time indoors either attending class or studying at the library. I was totally unaware of how the lack of exposure to sun was damaging me. Plus, even though the dosage is double that of the metagenics brand, I never have any stomach issues at all. Buy this you won't regret it!

Preface: I have multiple food and chemical allergies so I had to be very selective when choosing which supplements to buy. I have a terrible immune system right now and needed to start taking supplements since my diet is basically nonexistent due to the severity of my intestinal health. I had these softgels for about a month without having taken them due to being too scared to try something new which could potentially put me in the hospital or worse. Almost a week ago my health got so bad I had no choice but to TRY the supplements I had (these 10,000 IU Vit D3 by Solgar. So in the morning after I had an awful night and was not getting any better I popped one of these softgels with a lot of water. I had no noticeable bad reaction even after multiple hours of waiting it out. In fact I felt much better! So by the advice of my allergist I am taking two softgels per day, as he said 20,000 IU would be very beneficial for me since my Vitamin D3 levels were extremely low. I also started drinking pre-bottled Kombucha daily in the middle of the day (between the Vit D doses) and honestly I am doing really well considering how bad I was nearly a week ago. I know my allergist wanted me to try fermented foods but since I can't have dairy at all or any ingredient made from dairy kefir and yogurt was out, so was anything made with regular white distilled vinegar because I am THAT allergic to gluten that even the barely-there trace amounts left in it cause me major health problems. So long story short, these Vitamin D3 softgels are awesome! They have very few ingredients, and none of which I react badly to. Thanks, Solgar and Amazon!

I have been using this brand of Vitamin D consistently for a while now and it has really helped to increase my Vitamin D levels. It is a very small softgel and easy to swallow. Highly recommend!

I've been taking this supplement since late 2021 and it seemed fine at first. However, I started having symptoms such as brain fog, muscle weakness/tiredness, urinating frequently, chest pains/pressure, headaches, sleeplessness, and just not feeling normal at all. I started reading about vitamin D toxicity and immediately stopped taking this very high dosage. Shortly after I stopped taking this, my symptoms are almost completely gone and I feel like I woke up from a 2 year sleep walk. I think this supplement is high quality and good under the proper circumstances, but the recommended dose of vitamin D for an adult is only 800 IU and the upper limit is 4,000 IU. I would suggest that everyone make sure that you need this high dosage before starting on it because it can lead to very dangerous conditions like hypercalcemia in the blood and potentially kidney failure/disease. I'm only posting this to inform and I hope this can help someone who might have made the same mistake that I did.
