Love this safety razor. I have a 34C and I must say this one is definitely nicer to maneuver. It's slightly lighter but still got a nice heft. Definitely recommend.

Ich habe den Wilkinson Sword Rasierhobel gekauft, weil mein bisheriger Damenrasierer leider nicht mehr hergestellt wird. Natürlich. Wenn etwas richtig gut ist, verschwindet es irgendwann vom Markt. Danke für nichts, Produktpolitik. 😄 Ich nutze den Rasierhobel für die Beine und bin mit dem Ergebnis wirklich sehr zufrieden. Die Rasur ist gründlich, sauber und fühlt sich deutlich klassischer und direkter an als bei vielen normalen Systemrasierern. Gerade wenn man eingewachsene Haare vermeiden möchte, sind solche Rasierhobel für viele eine sehr gute Option, weil sie nicht mit zig Klingen gleichzeitig über die Haut kratzen. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, der Hobel sieht gut aus und wirkt sehr stabil. Man merkt sofort, dass man hier kein leichtes Plastikteil in der Hand hat. Das ist einerseits schön, andererseits ist er mir persönlich fast ein bisschen zu schwer. (Es gibt eine sehr gute und sogar einstellbare Plastik-Alternative, aber die kostet locker 60 Euro) Man muss bei der Anwendung wirklich aufpassen. Nicht drücken, nicht hektisch werden, nur stets kurze Bahnen ziehen und vor allem nicht seitlich abrutschen!!! Das habe ich leider einmal geschafft, und ja: So ein Rasierhobel verzeiht weniger als ein normaler Rasierer mit Sicherheitsgedöns und Kuschelstreifen. Hmpf.🧛 Wenn man vorsichtig arbeitet, ist das Ergebnis aber richtig gut. Für die Beine finde ich ihn sehr überzeugend, nur eben nicht als „schnell mal nebenbei im Halbschlaf“-Rasierer. Fazit: Sehr hochwertiger, gründlicher Rasierhobel mit tollem Ergebnis. Für mich etwas schwer und man muss wirklich achtsam damit umgehen, aber insgesamt ein sehr gutes Produkt. Klare 5 Sterne. 🪒

All my life I have never used a razor and instead electric shavers however, over the last year or so, i've had issues with skin irritation. At great expense, I tried Harry's but a) I paid for the upgraded razor and the quality is poor and b) as much as the marketing of any cartridge razor (cough Gillette) claims, "closest shave", "no irritation - smooth with one stroke due to multiple blades", the truth is that the more blades, the more irritation. So, I took the big step to razor shaving and landed on the Wilkinson Sword safety razor, as the top rated on Amazon. Seems like it was a good choice! The razor is superbly made and nice and weighty - it's very clearly a high quality product but for a reasonable price. The blades are fine however, I do think there are sharper out there on the market. Very importantly, shaver waste, to me is disgusting and has to stop. I cannot believe that in 2022 supermarkets still sell "single use disposable" shavers which aren't recyclable (I also can't believe how popular they are). The cartridges are just as bad - all that plastic with metal blades within - most council facilities wouldn't be able to recycle those and it seems a waste in the first place to keep replacing a perfectly serviceable head. Safety razors and single blade "cut throat" are the most 'ethical' of the lot. The only waste is easily recycled wafer thin stainless steel blades and a bit of paper (so long as you buy the right blades - I noticed the Wiklkinson Sword ones come in plastic boxes of 5 which seems mad!). For anyone looking to make the switch and that hasn't used a razor before, I found this very easy, achieved a much smoother shave than I get from my electric shaver and, only got 1 tiny little cut (I mean tiny) on my first go. I am a convert.
