I'm not experienced cutting my cats nails. Are they sharp enough to not split the nail?

Yes, they are very sharp and should be no problem trimming cat nails without splitting them. I used them on my dog's nails with no problems.

I have a 7 lb Shih Tzu. Will this nail clipper work on her?

7 lb may use a small one ,this is a large one suitable for dogs over 16lb

My dogs nails are pretty long (shes a 90 lbs german shephard) would these be good for her? I have never trimmed a dogs nails before.

I don't see why this wouldn't do good for you. Large enough opening for a big dog's nails. Just read the instructions on how to clip them properly. Plenty sharp. By the way, the file is in the handle. Lol

Would these work on a small rabbit??

I purchased these for use with my 4 rabbits. From 4lbs to 6.5 lbs. I think they work well. Good grip. As long as you can get the locking mechanism to open all the way the clippers work well. I don't use the guard because the nails are so small, but I think this works quite well.

Wonderful

My cat was so picky about having his claws trimmed but after ordering these nail clippers he is such a baby but they get the job done quick and easy! I love how they are shaped, and the angle on the clippers helps immensely. As to the safety, you need to know what your doing bc these clipper are not high tech, please watch videos and things before trimming your animals nails. There is so much risk for a mistake that can cause discomfort and infection. My cat loves to nibble and chew on the handle sometimes and they’ve held up wonderfully! Definitely a good investment for the price. Very effective!
