No, I just put a tiny bit on to blow-dry and a tiny bit on to straighten. My hair stays straight until I wash it. I am black btw, with 3b-3c fine hair.

Can this be used as a leave in conditioner ?

Yes. The directions say to put it on freshly washed, towel-dried hair, and then blow dry and style as needed. It's very good for dry, frizzy hair.
