deuter Streamer 2.0 Hydration System

The quality of this water bladder is really good. Feels very well put together and the hose connection is very tight and seals well. Only used it a handful of times so far, but it has been good and not leaked. Holds a nice amount of water and fits well into my small backpack; you would hardly know it was there, really. The taste at first is a little bit of rubber/plastic, however its not that bad, no different to a new water bottle with a new straw...it goes eventually. Overall, I would say a very solid piece of kit and does the job I want it to do. Really easy to use and removes the need to carry big, heavy water bottles.

Build quality is good, the hose and mouthpiece are perfect especially the the twist to open function, the only drawback is the tasteless feature, we found this far from the truth, typical plastic taste , cleaned the bladder again and will try again

The hydration bladder does the job and the water tastes less of plastic than with some other brands, perhaps. With the wrap-over closure system it can be troublesome to get the orange clip into place - the top of the bag was found to have been smeared with grease by the manufacturer! The bite valve restricts the flow of water; I found that the effort required to suck the water through was too much when walking briskly. In order to clean and dry the bite valve and tube the dirt cover is removed and then the very difficult job of removing the soft cover takes quite a lot of effort - I had to use the blunt side of a knife to get it started. Then a small spring and a plastic valve piston pop out and they have to be carefully set aside. I purchased a mini air pump to dry out the tube with its end fittings still in place - that might apply to any other such delivery tubes, so that particular point is not a criticism of this hydration bladder. In summary, the system does work, so far used successfully three times, but I would recommend using a different type of delivery valve.

Had to return this item as I would never have been able to open or close it. Very stiff, obviously for a reason but my fingers couldn’t manage it

De momento muy bien. Tenía una botella y no me atrevía a cambiar a bolsa pero no he tenido ningún problema de ajuste ni fuga y ya la he usado varias veces. El agua tiene algo de sabor a plástico, pero menos que el sistema que tenía de tubbing con botella asi que contenta.

Ich nutze das Deuter Streamer 2.0 nun seit mehreren Monaten auf Wanderungen und beim Mountainbiken – und bin absolut begeistert! Die Verarbeitung ist wie von Deuter gewohnt sehr hochwertig: Das Material ist robust, geschmacksneutral und 100% dicht – kein Tropfen geht verloren. Besonders praktisch finde ich das große Öffnungssystem, das das Befüllen und Reinigen enorm erleichtert. Auch das Trinkventil funktioniert tadellos – es ist leicht zu bedienen, tropft nicht und liefert zuverlässig Wasser, wenn man es braucht. Die 2-Liter-Kapazität reicht für die meisten Tagestouren völlig aus und passt ideal in meinen Rucksack. Ein weiteres Plus: Die antibakterielle Beschichtung hält das Wasser frisch, selbst bei sommerlichen Temperaturen. Für mich ist der Deuter Streamer 2.0 mittlerweile ein unverzichtbarer Begleiter auf jeder Tour. Klare Kaufempfehlung für alle, die unterwegs gut hydriert bleiben wollen!
