The ginger is a little tingly but not overwhelming; the pear is subtle but a nice balance to the ginger's spice. This is still FAR better than chewy ginger candy for me! They're not overly sweet, and most of the ingredients look okay (although I do wish it had pure pear vs "natural flavors" - the extra transparency would be nice, especially for those of us with "natural" allergies). The candy lasts about 15 minutes per piece, and one is usually enough to get rid of morning sickness for me (hence the 5 stars).
