These brushes have a good snap and hold plenty of water and pigment.

It performs well as expected since I already own the set, but I was disappointed that the brush was not covered or placed in a bag and was just thrown in the big box, so the bristles were slightly bent upon arrival.

I have a lot of brushes, including Princeton Heritage. I saw these recommended on a Facebook watercolor group I am in, so I tried them. So far, they are hands-down my favorite water color brushes. They hold a lot of water and paint, but not too much, and they are very easy to control and get precise lines.

Well not much they are wonderful brushes but this one is my very favorite. I love just holding it. At first i thought it was coated in a smooth rubber but I don't think so. It feels like the right thing is what comes to mind. The bristles are like Goldilocks not too snappy not to limp but just right. To be honest now that I have this aqua elite I have almost forgiven Princeton for the bad brush I have watched roam around my life because really I should have returned it but just keep misplacing it. I got a neptune daggar that was an obv. oppsie. Every company even Princeton has an oopsie. I had a resentment I am back to loving and respecting my mid priced Princetons. I do have others though I enjoy now. I strayed. But Princeton is always going to be my go to.

This is an excellent value for my money.
