Yes it can carry all of those items you named. I have mine full of person items myself. Packed full. I work in a factory 12 hours most times and needed a sturdy bag. No complains. I love this man bag. :)

Does it have a pocket on the outside for like water bottles and stuff?

It does have a pocket on the outside on the front but not big enough to hold a water bottle. The main compartment is big enough to hold a few waterbottles. Small compact bag, but I love it. Not a back pack size though if thats what your looking for.
