A humorous tale about anxiety
Jeremy worries about the wind. And everything else. Bananas, untied shoelaces, cracks in the pavement, worms, burnt toast, and DEFINITELY evil squirrels. So he's extra careful. One day, Jeremy meets Maggie, a carefree little girl who is anything but cautious. They quickly become good friends, because Maggie clearly needs protecting from SERIOUS DANGER. Jeremy teaches her how to do things safely, but Maggie doesn't quite take his lessons on board. Then one day, it's very windy. Maggie wants to play outside because the wind makes her hair long, and Jeremy chases after her. And is blown away by the wind!!! What follows is quite the adventure, with peril and rescue, peril and rescue, until he finds himself back with Maggie with a whole new take on the world! This is a funny, enjoyable book in which children will recognise the silliness of some of Jeremy's fears. Personally I would use this as an opportunity to talk about my own silly fears and model that we can all be very scared of things that don't make sense, but might need to face them to realise this. The illustrations in this book are a delight. I particularly enjoy the consequences of loose shoelaces and spotty bananas! Another nice detail is that when Jeremy is rescued by a helicopter the pilots are a not-so-evil squirrel and worm! And there's a final surprise on the very last page. A book kids are sure to love.

Fun, silly and a great message
Fun, colourful and silly with a reassuring message, "Jeremy worried about the Wind" was an immediate hit with my children who thought it was hilarious from the first page.A fantastic feature of this book is that the main adventure takes place only through illustration. This creates a wonderful opportunity for children to develop their expressive language skills to describe what is happening, how Jeremy feels and what might happen to him next. When we read the story at bedtime, my son who has a language delay was able to contribute to the storytelling by describing the action in his own words and laughing a lot too. Especially about spotty bananas and evil squirrels. It's a brilliant idea and a format I'd love to see in more children's picture books.Overall, this is a delightfully illustrated children's book filled with action and an important message about not letting worries get in the way. It was a huge hit with my own children (8,6 and 4) and would make a great addition to any bookshelf at home or at school.

A perfect picture book for all the little worriers out there!
A perfect picture book for all the little worriers out there! The title says just what this is about, but when the wind whisks Jeremy away, a whole series of amazing adventures await him! I love the wordless spreads that show the adventures, they are full of action and great fun!

Awesome!
What a brilliantly funny book about a champion worrier. The illustrations capture Jeremy perfectly, and the three cartoon spreads (loads of action and wordless) are a nice contrast. LOVE it!

Cute story about overcoming fears.
Quickly became a favorite with my grandkids. Read it for a grandchild‘s VPK class and the teacher enjoyed it so so much I bought her a copy.

Una historia muy linda para los peques.
Nos ha encantado! El lenguaje, la historia son perfectas para mi peque de 4. Le gusto mucho la historia sobre las preocupaciones/miedos.

I'll keep just for the style of illustrations.
I saw no real message in this book. Some fears should be taught as concerns because there are cautions. This story lacked balance and talent to send a good message. The last page lacked the most.

Read Review for Specifics
My son is PETRIFIED of the wind and is afraid it willblow him away. I got this book thinking it would help. Well the kid does fly away in the book, SO if that’s your kid’s specific fear this may not be the book for them
