Great saw don’t hesitate.
I am a contractor, that works on the job! I love this saw, it cuts really fast and smooth. Turns a lot of rpm’s and is easy to use. Has a left or right choice on the bevel. Really, for the money, I bought it as a spare, and we use it full time now.

Junk
I bought this and did not use it right away. Looks impressive. Folding stand to match. Plugged it in and pulled the trigger, grinding in the motor and a loud squeal. Blade barley moved. Nothing loose or binding on the outside. Very disappointed. Should have bought DeWalt.

Good saw for the money
This is a great saw for home use and occasional projects. It's clear that the quality is not great and wouldn't use it if I was working in construction and needed a miter saw every day, but you can't find a better 12" saw for the money that's for sure! The dust collection bag is worthless, nothing really goes in that, all the saw dust goes around it, the knob used to stop the sliding is a little small and weak, and the beveling angle indicator is not very accurate (you're better off making your own marks with a sharpie after you figure out the main ones like (90, 60, 45 degrees). But other than that it works as it should and cuts great. Made almost 50 cuts right out of the box, mostly on 4x4's and I had no issues.

Not worth the money
I bought this saw about a month ago to install a hardwood floor. I was installing a solid oak floor 3 1/2 inch by 3/4 tongue and grooved. I guess this would be the serious test of a JCB saw. I have been doing construction for over 15 years. I have used many of the top products in this field, Bosch, DeWalt, this does not compare. This saw is a disappointment. There are numerous problems that I will point out. I bought this all based upon the reviews that have been posted on Amazon. I now believe most of those reviews were false.1st. The sheer size of this saw. Normally, I want a large and heavy miter saw. I do not want the saw to move when I am using it. When it comes to these styles of saw, I prefer heavy and well-built. This saw is very heavy and awkward. Moving this saw around on a job site would be next to impossible. I was able to set it up right outside. However, if I had to move this saw every day from job site to job site, that would be a massive problem. It is not the weight of the saw. It’s how awkward it is when you are trying to move it. The saw has two handles that are designed to help you pick it up and move it around. These handles are poorly placed. Both handles are on top and when I would pick it up the slide would begin to move, locked or unlocked.2nd. The lock that holds the sliding arm or draw is poorly designed. This is a simple tightening screw, often this does not hold when you are moving the saw.3rd. There were times when the saw struggled to cut through the floor plank. It reminded me of how a handheld circular saw might struggle. I am not sure if this is due to the blade that is a JCB.4th. The main handle can only be activated by your right hand. If you are left-handed this saw will not work.5th. The desk collector does not actually collect any dust. The bag that comes with the saw had no sawdust in it after installing 150 square feet of hardwood floor. The dust actually hits the main hinge of the miter saw. so, if you think you are going to attach this saw to a dust collector it will not work.6th. Making a 45-degree cut, like I had to do when I was installing the molding became difficult. I was used to DeWalt and how their system snapped to the 45-degree. JCB's saw does not do that, most of the degrees are not clearly marked.I would not recommend this saw.

Very Disappointed
I've purchased a number of JCB hand and power tools lately and I've been pretty impressed with the quality. I decided to purchase this 12" dual bevel miter saw as "renewed". I figured I might get something that had a few scratches on it, but still a quality item. Instead I got this mess shown in the pics. The packaging was pretty well beat-up, but no big deal, that would go into the recycle bin anyway. What I didn't expect was to see a handwritten note attached to the saw that said "cracked frame". It was obviously repackaged this way. Why??? And sure enough, the aluminum saw frame is cracked. I guess I'm fortunate the note was there. I'd hate to think what could have happened if the rest of the frame snapped during use. Whoever okayed this item for shipment did a very irresponsible thing. Those things aside, I wasn't very impressed with the saw anyway. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, this is a very large and bulky saw. Also, there are no detents in the pivot or bevel to stop at the more common angles, including 0 degrees. Better options out there. Pay the money for something better (and safer).
