is the foam section longer for the longer strap or only the "tail" end?

The total length of my Lekato bass strap is 46 inches, as adjusted for me. The foam padding is 18.5 inches long, and is on the upper part of the strap, which goes over my shoulder and upper back. The lower part of the strap, where it attaches to the larger part of my bass’s body is 17 inches of adjustable nylon strap. My strap is very comfortable! The total length would vary with body size.

There's a review that praises the strap for having a "quick release design", is there a way to take the strap off without removing the attached parts?

Not sure what you mean by "attached parts." It's just a standard guitar strap that comes with a couple of rubber washer style strap locks.

Where are these made?

The best I can find is that Lekota makes their own products. Although I wouldn't be surprised if they use third party manufacturers.

Does this strap use any animal products like real leather ?

I actually don't know but could care less. There is really hardly anything tat could be leather on the strap. It is an excellent Bass strap.

Solid & Comfortable

I'm very happy with this guitar strap. It's very comfortable. Especially when compared with a crappy 10 bucks Fender strap that I previously bought. The Fender one is too thin and the edges are way too sharp. I felt like it will cut my head off. This one is super awesome. It's well padded and feels great in the shoulder. I my opinion, we need something like that to play for long periods of time. Playing guitar is not supposed to hurt your shoulder nor your neck. I recommend this one. There's also a pick holder that can be practical

Muy bueno y resistente

Bastante cómodo y resistente, llevo más de 1 año con él y sigue como nuevo. Lo único que le mejoraría es la longitud ya que el tamaño que pedí a comparación de otros tahalís viene muy largo y ya no puede ajustarme más corto, habría que hacerle una modificación lo cual es bastante sencillo, fuera de eso me ha funcionado muy bien y lo recomiendo.
